The characters in this book are so fantastic. Our gang is made up of six people, whom I will now list here as if it’s even slightly possible that anyone hasn’t read this book yet. They are: Kaz, Inej, Jesper, Wylan, Nina, Matthias. the suspense in this? the thrill i got from each and every single reveal? the tension i had in the second half? unmatched. i was so scared for all of their lives. i was wondering which would be the moment they’d get caught; they’d be sent to prison; they’d be killed. but the six crows were always one step ahead and i should’ve had more faith in them, probably. 😌 the world building was so beautifully done — there wasn’t any info-dump moment, because everything is delivered to us few details at a time and it’s so rich and intricate. i loved the way kaz, inej, nina, matthias, jesper and wylan overcame all the odds and became more and more dangerous and showed their hidden sides as the heist became tougher. i absolutely adore the creativity of this entire book and i’m in awe.

He needed to tell her… what? That she was lovely and brave and better than anything he deserved. That he was twisted, crooked, wrong, but not so broken that he couldn’t pull himself together into some semblance of a man for her. That without meaning to, he’d begun to lean on her, to look for her, to need her near. Kaz Brekker, an infamous thief (also known as Dirtyhands) is promised a very large sum of money to kidnap Bo Yul-Bayur, a scientist from the Ice Court. Also, the dialogue here absolutely rules. You have no idea how many times I had to hold in laughter. You might think you know what coming, BUT YOU WILL BE WRONG! So many well planned out plot twist. So many ground shaking moments. So many heart crushing scenes. And that ending!!!! YOU CAN'T DO THAT TO PEOPLE!!! You can't leave us hanging like this!!!! OMG and I didn't even get to mention the romance!!!! I want to talk about it. Oh goodness do I want to talk about it! But I wont, and if you've ever read any of my review you know this is unheard of. I love love and not wanting to talk about it must only mean one thing... That it's really really good! Even with the massive amount to sexual tense and stolen glances it still doesn't even overshadow the plot. I'm not just talking about the romance with a certain pair, I'm talking romance among several. Like I can't even believe how much gooey lovey dovey moments she gives us and yet didn't drown us in it. Perfect just perfect.Ahhh, now we are at big grumpy Matthias. My favorite Fjerdan! He's really just a giant teddy bear. (Okay, he's actually not but I can pretend.) He and Nina are perfect for each other... even though they are kinf-of not-really mortal enemies. Oops.

Jesper lol the guy is supposed to be some kind of sharpshooter who starts crying for a medic when one of his friends is shot. Real gangster right here dude. Ocean's Eleven set in a Game of Thrones-esque world ... The result is a pacey read with electric prose and well-drawn characters * THE INDEPENDENT * How will you have me?” she repeated. “Fully clothed, gloves on, your head turned away so our lips can never touch?”

now we come to the romance. THE ROMANCE. done so beautifully, painfully, and artfully that i couldn’t believe my eyes. the slow-burn between all the characters was literally perfect. i could feel the tension between all the couples, the light banter, the flirting, their own lil moments and i felt my heart flutter with each moment and i was literally giggling, i love them so much. 💕💞💗💘💓💝💖 OK I have feelings about this boy. He is the most anti-hero of all the characters and yet I still love him to pieces.... I love his viciousness and his cane and his cunning schemes. Bardugo make him worthy of some sympathy and even a bit of admiration. jesper fahey. the way he had so much hidden depth, masking his true feelings with banter and humor and sarcasm and wit? i — that hit far too close to home, and that’s probably why i kinda get him. he’s one of those characters no one can help loving. but he also loves shooting at his enemies, so he isn’t just a character who’d lighten the mood, he’s one of those who’d kill people for you if you were his friend and that type of loyalty is something else. i wanna be friends with him 👉👈 me: okay. school's amping up. extracurriculars are starting. the internship search is well under way. what should we do first?
