If the enemy closes in on their position, the Guardians will unleash a withering hail of fire from their Shuriken Catapults, moving steadily to safety all the while. When the Farseers and Autarchs of a craftworld deploy Guardian Defender squads, they do so knowing that they are risking the lifeblood of their people.

YNNARI DRUKHARI units can gain Battle Traits, Weapon Enhancements, Crusade Relics and Battle Scars listed in Codex: Drukhari as normal. Some weapons have ‘Blast’ listed in their profile’s abilities. These are referred to as Blast weapons. In addition to the normal rules, the following rules apply to Blast weapons: If your army is Battle-forged, you cannot include units from more than one craftworld in the same Detachment. When a PSYKER from your army manifests a psychic power from the Phantasmancy, Runes of Battle, Runes of Fate or Runes of Fortune disciplines, replace all instances of the < CRAFTWORLD> or < SAEDATH> keyword on that psychic power (if any) with the name of the craftworld or saedath that your PSYKER is drawn from. If that PSYKER is an ANHRATHE unit, instead replace all instances of the < CRAFTWORLD> ASURYANI CORE keywords on that psychic power (if any) with the ANHRATHE keyword and all instances of the < CRAFTWORLD> ASURYANI CHARACTER keywords on that psychic power (if any) with the ANHRATHE CHARACTER keywords. Some datasheets already specify which craftworld a unit is from (e.g. ELDRAD ULTHRAN has the ULTHWÉ keyword, and so is from Craftworld Ulthwé).Craftworld Warlord Trait: A Warlord Trait associated with one of the craftworlds. These are only available to WARLORDS that are part of a CRAFTWORLD Detachment (and only if they are drawn from the associated craftworld). During the Rehearsal phase, you will have a list of preparations to accomplish over the course of several battles for your chosen Tale. Once complete, you can then move on to the Grand Performance phase. Mask of Secrets (Aura) : While an enemy unit is within 6" of the bearer, subtract 1 from the Leadership characteristic of models in that unit. If a CHARACTER model with this attribute gains a Warlord Trait, they can have a Craftworld Warlord Trait associated with the craftworld you selected, instead of an Aeldari Warlord Trait. If a CHARACTER model has such a Warlord Trait, replace all instances of the < CRAFTWORLD> keyword on that Warlord Trait (e.g. IYANDEN), if any, with the name of the craftworld that this CHARACTER model is from. Each of the selected results corresponds to a type of roll that you can manipulate once per instance of that roll during that battle round.

Opponents of the Aeldari find them mercurial and elusive, and plans are sure to fail as these unpredictable skirmishers feign retreats and mask their presence. A unit with this ability can Advance and shoot Assault and Pistol weapons as if they Remained Stationary. If the type of roll you wish to manipulate involves more than one D6 (e.g. a Psychic test), treat one of those dice as an unmodified roll of 6 (do not roll that dice), then roll any other dice and add up the results as normal. If you use this in conjunction with them being on an objective, they should basically hit with everything. As they should be hitting on 2’s and rerolling ones. Especially for 1 CP, it could really make a difference as you want as many shots as you can get for those 6’s to wound for the extra 2 AP. The Warhammer 40K Aeldari rules in this codex also include Matched Play and Crusade Rules, as well as psychic powers to equip your psykers with, Exarch Powers that can help swing the tide of battle, Stratagems to help you gain the upper hand against your opponent, and a wealth of unique relics that add depth and customization to your army. This Relic, for Harlequins only, allows a single model to roll to try to ignore a mortal wound. A pretty powerful relic in the right (brightly colored) hands.

Each time you upgrade a HARLEQUINS CHARACTER model in this way, its Power Rating is increased by 1. If you are playing a matched play game, or a game that uses a points limit, then the points value of that model is also increased by the amount shown in relevant table. Each model can only be given one of the upgrades listed below. Few weapons in the Aeldari’s eclectic arsenal are as iconic or as feared as the prism cannon. A sophisticated firing array focuses a laser through a crystal prism to amplify shots into thin beams of light that lance through tanks or saturated pulses of energy that annihilate infantry. Multiple Fire Prisms can combine Linked Fire to chain beams of light from one prism to another to ensure their prey cannot escape.**

The Ynnari draw their numbers from every portion of Aeldari society, believing that Ynnead is the only hope for their race.A CRAFTWORLD Detachment that is from the Ynnari can also include HARLEQUINS units, < KABAL> DRUKHARI units, < WYCH CULT> DRUKHARI units, INCUBI units and SCOURGES units (see Codex: Drukhari), but for each of these units it includes, it must also include one ASURYANI unit with the same Battlefield Role. A YNNARI Detachment that includes any of these units in this way is still considered to be an ASURYANI Detachment, but the following additional rules apply:DRUKHARI units can only embark within DRUKHARI YNNARI TRANSPORT models if they also have the YNNARI keyword. It is a painful irony that, in the Aeldari species' endless quest for survival, the very civilians the warhosts fight to protect are all too often forced to take up arms themselves. Every Asuryani is trained and ready to fight as a Guardian if need be.

If these new rules are true looks like Eldar Guardians gained an extra 6″ of range which probably is better overall honestly. We had seen glimpses of what looked like new fusion and chainblade bits too so perhaps Storm Guardians may rise up to see some play soon with new ‘assault’ buffs. If your army is Battle-forged, Troops units in ASURYANI Detachments gain the Objective Secured ability. Psychic power type: A psychic power’s type is written in bold at the start of its rules. There are three types of psychic power described in this Codex: Blessing, Malediction and Witchfire.There are many elite units which excel at one battlefield role, rewarding an observant commander who can be flexible on the fly. Harlequins must be used with even more precision – they’re faster and deadlier yet as they caper across the warzone, but their only real armour is surprise. During deployment, when you set up this unit, if every model in this unit has this ability, it can be set up anywhere on the battlefield that is more than 9" away from the enemy deployment zone and any enemy models. And so the Spectre of Despair haunted them for all their days. His dread grin was seen in every shadow, until his victims were convinced he could appear from thin air. When least expected he would do so, ethereal blades flashing, leaving only bodies wearing an expression of hopelessness. A squad of six Windrider jetbikes* gives you plenty of speed to zoom around the board. Combined with Craftworld Saim-Hann’s bike-buffing sensibilities , these agile Aeldari can reach just about anywhere you need them from turn 1. That’s not to say they’re all whoosh and no wallop – their bikes carry plenty of upgraded shuriken weaponry for shredding any foe foolish enough to get in the way. This psyker is closely attuned to their craftworld’s infinity circuit. With a gesture they are able to word off the malefic creatures of the warp.
