Kudos, Mr. Cavanagh, for another winning book. I hope to gather some more interest in your work, for other readers to discover and add them to their respective tottering To Be Read piles. One POSITIVE however is that we are introduced to a young deputy Melissa Bloch, and we learned about the case that motivated her to move into Private Investigation work, eventually leading her to a job with Eddie Flynn- Outstanding. Totally absorbing and compelling. A masterpiece in thriller plotting– twists and turns at a ferocious pace, leading to a nail-biting conclusion.’ Mel Sherrat

Twisted By Steve Cavanagh |The Works

Hi, I am an avid reader and have been all my life. I put it down to being an only child and having a teacher for a mum. The idea of this blog is to share my passion for reading and review new and upcoming books as well as those that may have been out for several years. For his research, Steve Cavanagh studied a lot of American law books, especially the New York Legal system since this is where the Eddie Flynn books are set in, and spoke to lawyers who took him under their umbrella. Very few know who bestselling mystery author J T LeBeau is, which is a mystery in itself. However, one woman thinks she's located him and believes him to be a lot closer to home than she imagined (or she'd like). The truth is a lot more complicated than that, which leads to interesting, engaging chapters that take you on such a journey that you're pleasantly unsettled throughout. Well worth a read. * Woman's Way *Kill For Me, Kill For You" is not only a fantastic read but also a compelling choice for our book club discussion. I'm eager to dissect its intricacies, explore its nuances, and engage in passionate conversations about its plot and characters. This novel has solidified Steve Cavanagh's status as a talented storyteller, and I'm eagerly anticipating the conversations that will stem from this thought-provoking and gripping tale. Twisted by Steve Cavanagh is his first standalone novel; this one isn’t about a lawyer but a writer. I trust it isn’t too closely modelled on his day-to-day existence. If you love a story with a good twist and come on, who doesn’t? They do not come any better than this. What does the blurb say?

Twisted by Steve Cavanagh: Mayhem, murder and murky misdeeds Twisted by Steve Cavanagh: Mayhem, murder and murky misdeeds

On my specific instructions my publisher have not edited this text. There have been no editorial notes, structural edits or other outside interference. The book opens with the memorial service for author, J.T. LeBeau, finally identified. LeBeau has been a cipher for years, turning out just one thriller a year. His fame and prestige soaring as his mystique grew. No one knew who he was, at least no one who was still alive. Oddly, his books bore more than a passing resemblance to a number of actual murders.

I think Steve is just brilliant! Trouble is I now find it difficult to find other books that I like. I don’t know what else to tell you about the plot so I’m not even going to try. I love a twisty, convoluted thriller but this may have had one or two twists too many. Most of the time I didn’t have a clue what was going on or which way was up! Don’t get me wrong, I really enjoyed reading this but I do think it was too much.
