The Maybelline The Falsies Surreal Extensions Mascara has up to 24-hours of wear time, with a clump-resistant formula, which is also smudge-resistant, flake-resistant, and smear-resistant all-in-one. It’s also a vegan formula mascara, featuring zero animal-derived ingredients or by-products. Featuring Hybrid Fiber technology, offering a mix of fibers of differing sizes, up to 3 mm, with an extended helix shaped brush, which has been designed to load up the lashes from the root to the tip, with surreal impact. Maybelline is the brand where I’ve probably tried the most of their mascaras, including the Sky High, which did impress, and Great Lash, which was less than ideal. But now the brand has brought out a new lash product that’s proving popular on social media. It's a lengthening and volumizing formula with a medium-size brush with long, intertwined bristles. Inspired by salon lash extensions, this mascara is made with hybrid-fibre technology which promises to add up to 36 per cent more length and 10 times the volume, adding up to 3mm to your lashes. The real test came with wearing the mascara all day. Again, I’m prone to mascara smears and smudges, and I wasn’t sure how well this formula would hold up on me. After wearing it every day for a week, I’m happy to report that it lasted beautifully. I noticed some minor flaking under my eyes before I took it off to sleep, but this was at midnight — I had applied it 16 hours earlier and didn’t touch up once. Even on a day when my eyes were leaking a waterfall (I was chopping onions while cooking), it only smudged a tiny bit. Here, you can see it applied on both my eyes — I’m obsessed with how it makes my lashes stand out. This might just be my new favorite mascara!
