Description

I have fitted these taps using both the flexi tails and using the copper tails and I must admit I liked the copper tails best, I found that the tap felt more ridged after fitting when done with copper even taps that had the plastic stiffener fitted under the sink there was still some movement when using the flexi tails. Please note that proof of purchase will be required to arrange a claim and/or to arrange a visit by one of our expert Bristan Care engineers. Their technical excellence makes the most reliable, fit for purpose brassware products in the market today. Some of our partners may process your data as a part of their legitimate business interest without asking for consent. My reason is that it makes replacement very easy and it is a more reliable method of connecting the tails than compression.

Most include both parts and labour (so we'll send an engineer to fix the problem as part of our guarantee). Register your product with us now, and if you do have any queries after installation, we'll be able to identify your product and give you the best advice quickly. A large, flat rubber washer is placed on the underside of the basin and this has holes in it which should line up with the holes in the monoblock. The larger two of these holes are for the feed pipes to be screwed in and the smaller two are where the threaded connection bars are screwed into. There should be a large rubber O ring which sits underneath the block and is squashed between the top of the sink and the underside of the block as the monoblock is tightened into place.Once the tap is in the hole with the flat washer or mounting plate placed over the threaded bars, the steel washer can be slid into place also. With the washer in place the nuts can now be tightened onto the threaded bar and this is where the DIY enthusiast struggles. Plumbers on the other hand, carry a box spanner which is a long open tube with the correct size nut shaped hole at the end. GKU,i agree what you say regarding the tap body connections being 10mm bore but the 300mm flexes are 10mm bore.

It is slid over the thread and the other end twisted tight by putting a nail or something similar into the hole and turning. Product will work on low pressure providing the flow regulatoris removed and replaced using a flow guide (A960191NU). We and our partners use data for Personalised ads and content, ad and content measurement, audience insights and product development. When closed, the slots in the upper disc are covered by the unslotted portion of the lower disc, and no water flows.

This range of brassware offers simple installation, ease of use, reduced risk and water saving features. A little bit of silicon grease, screwing all the way in by hand and then a final tighten with the spanner. Copper tails, which are narrower where they go through the tail, increasing to 15 mm at the pipework connection end. The slots each occupy just under 1/4 of the diameter of each disc, a little way in from the outside.

I always groan when I see a monobloc soldered in because it becomes such a pain to get it out again and after cutting it out you usually have to do a fair bit of rearranging of the pipework to put in the replacement. It has to be said that fitting a monoblock mixer tap (or monobloc as it’s also spelt) is not the easiest operation in the world and can certainly be a bit fiddly. not when in a confined space or when the fittings end up situated side by side as when connecting to monobloc tails. The monoblock is a very clever piece of design technology which allows both the hot and cold feed to enter the base, or block of the tap.The only other thing you can really do is source a monobloc tap with screw down taps, not 1/4 turn type.

The Armitage Shanks Contour 21+ Single Lever Basin Mixer Tap with copper tails is an anti-vandal unit ideal for installation within any commercial or domestic space. Don't know exactly what you are expecting ,but if you expect to get the kind of flow that you have from cold mains kitchen tap ,you will need a pump !We will only process your data in a fair and lawful way and your details will never be passed onto third parties. I don't need to get it anything like mains pressure, but just enough improvement to avoid having to fit a pump.
