I enjoyed this story a lot. As it really drew me in and kept me engaged throughout. Although there wasn't much in the way of action, but what there was I did enjoy The characterisation is absolutely perfect, with multiple POV, ensuring the reader is kept in the loop and illustrating the individual personalities that allow you to form a connection with the characters. One-third to one-half of new CEOs, whether they’re hired from outside or from within, fail within their first 18 months, according to some estimates. Why It Occurs I read this book-length poem for the first time sitting still, transfixed, afraid to break its spell, and certain that here was something important and real. Deaf Republic is a work of astonishing power and lyricism. It is a narrative poem set in a fictional occupied town, evoking Kaminsky’s childhood home Odessa. It sings a story of war, death, love, conscience, resistance, language and silence. Somehow, Kaminsky makes the pain of it all bearable – indeed, more than that: it is ravishingly beautiful. Another fantastic installment of The Kings of Guardian series. I have been waiting patiently for Chief's story since he went undercover and Kris Michaels did not disappoint. Gavin Barwell has written a candid, valuable and insightful account of two hugely consequential years of history. Read it if you want to fully understand why we are where we are today. This may be a chronicle of failure, but it is all the more absorbing for that. The tension between these two characters is intense even as suspense and danger dog their every step. They have their own reasons for putting their lives on the line and have vowed to succeed regardless of the cost. And their lives are on the line. Each conversation, each decision could be their last. In the midst of it all, when their next breath could be their last, they somehow find each other. And connect in the most elemental way. They fit even though they shouldn’t. Cloaked in the identity of David Xavier, a billionaire player in multiple world theaters, Mike White Cloud worked to enter the Russian Mafia’s lair, by stalking a shadowy creature named "The Concierge." The Russian woman brokered young innocents into slavery, and Mike meant to destroy her and the organization she worked for. He should have despised her for the atrocious crimes she facilitated, but too often love and hate are the flip sides of the same coin, and what Mike felt for Taty was not hate. It didn't matter. He'd destroy the Bravata and all its associates--even if it meant part of his soul sat in prison for the rest of her life.
