For shades over 2kg you need to support the flex by using some lighting chain and therefore need a lampholder with a hook and shade rings to hang your light shade. Then choose between a Bayonet Cap version with shade rings for a shade with a 32mm -35mm hole or an Edison screw version with shade rings for a shade with a 38mm – 45mm aperture. Next you need a ceiling rose with a hook and again some earthed 3 core flex which goes between the lampholder and the ceiling hook. The chain you need is our large link chain.
