When you read an intense, packed book like the last one I reviewed, you want to read something that makes you feel you’re flying through it to even it out. While Iain and Jon work on a variety of projects and books in their day to day lives, they passionately continue on with the original project which has connected them to their thousands of fans around the world. Taken from the words kook (one whose ideas or actions are eccentric, fantastic, or insane) and bookery (archaic word for library). While it focuses on the words, it does feature some selected photography at the start of each chapter from my friend and traveling companion, Jon, the photographer. I’m sure that sometimes you’re talking and somehow two people move closer and closer to each other and then, they just kiss.

It was such a simple beautiful artistic exprience , connecting these deeply expressed emotions with these views and drown in feelings and places . Now, given the fact that I went looking for something like The Lover’s Dictionary, a comparison of some sort is natural, though unfair. However, I noticed a repetitive pattern, and also for me the ‘poems’ started to not feel as impactful and they were definitely starting to sound like one another.

Started 2007, I Wrote This For You is an acclaimed exploration of hauntingly beautiful words, photography and emotion that's unique to each person that reads it. It reminds me of one of the place I visit in Taipei though it’s not exactly the same place it reminds me of my stay there.

I Wrote This For You: 2007-2017 is a collection of the best poetry and photography from the first 10 years of the best-selling project. It is like peeking into my diary and reading all the words I am silently keeping or letters I never send. The condition was good, it was obviously a brand new copy but some pages were already off when it got in my hands and some others got off during reading. Thomas) is best known for the I Wrote This For You project, which he began in 2007 as a blog with photographer, Jon Ellis.

I'm sure every single person on this planet has had moments in his or her life where things just don't work out the way they want them to.

Ian's writing itself is profound and healing - there is always something in here no matter how I feel. A picture is worth a thousand words in itself, each adding to and morphing meaning behind the poetry. A subway is suddenly loneliness, the trees become love, the ocean is kindness and your mind is the creator of the story. The photographs are mesmerising, and sometimes i'd catch myself staring at a few of them for a minute or two.i didn't know much about it, except the esoteric description it had (which is brilliant, alluring, etc. Rather than stating it as poetry, I would say that these are quotations emphasized on love, life, surviving obstacles, leading optimism and much more. What makes this quote understandable, to me, is that it shows you that you are not alone even when things seem to be that way. com , Contagious Magazine, Archive, The University of Pretoria’s Permanent Design Collection, X-ings: Shaping Culture Through Design Exhibition, The United Nations Gallery of Sustainable Communication, TEDx, Heso Magazine (Japan) and http://www. I collaborated with electronic music/technologist BT on the album cover design for "If The Stars Are Eternal, So Are You And I" and the title of his last album, "A Song Across The Wires" is taken from a poem I wrote.
