Raquel has a heartfelt conversation with her mother where she tells her not to follow in the footsteps of her father. Her father was a great writer but he never had the courage to publish his novel. She encourages her to cut all the drama and just tell Ares how she really feels about him. The beginning of the trilogy introduces Raquel Mendoza, a girl stalker (according to his own words) of his neighbor Ares. This is the second of the three children of the Hidalgo couple, a wealthy family that owns a technology company and a mansion. In contrast, she must work at a Mc Donald's while completing her senior year of high school to help her mother (a nurse).

During her years as a freelance journalist and film critic, Mireia has covered festivals around the world, and has interviewed high-profile talents such as Kristen Stewart, Ryan Gosling, Jake Gyllenhaal and many more. During celebrations of the traditional night of San Juan, Raquel flirts with her classmate Gregory, but finally decides she doesn't want to do anything with him, as she is still very much in love with Ares. Artemis and Claudia will have more complications to solve in their own relationship, as well as Apolo and Daniela, but we can’t imagine that they will end the threequel in a bad place. The short version of it is that while Raquel and Ares are deeply in love, they agree to break up as they both head to university — Ares to study medicine, and Raquel to study literature.

This won't be the end of their romance either, as Netflix confirmed two sequels in February 2022 following the first movie's success. We know that a third movie is on the way, but we just don't know much more about it yet. However, most of the story was alluring, with vivid depictions of the character’s insecure first-love worries and anxious, do-I-trust-them feelings. It made the story feel relatable and kept my attention. Through My Window: Across the Sea is available to watch on Netflix and follows the next chapter in the love story between Ares and Raquel. In the second film in the series, the couple spends the majority of the story separated from one another as Ares goes to study abroad.And after the devastating events of Across the Sea, we can say that things aren't looking too good for the young couple, making the wait for the third Through My Window movie all the more agonising. When I first came across this book and saw it would end up on Netflix, I knew I had to give this one a read. One of my favorite things is reading a book before it becomes a movie. I thought the beginning and the end of the story were a little choppy with dialog and scene breaks - some of the time, I found myself confused with who was talking and when.
