Description

These 2 brushes fall at the lower end of the electric toothbrush range from Oral-B, but they offer most of what you need of an electric toothbrush at a good price point. The Pro 2 2900 handles have a larger rubber grip on the front of the handle that the Pro 3900 does not have. In-built timer– Helps you brush for 2 minutes, and notifies you every 30 seconds to change the area you are brushing.

The Pressure Sensor Oral-B Pro 2, 2000 toothbrush, is the must-have brush for everyone who wants to switch to an electric toothbrush and improve their oral health. Features and Benefits It is not overly noisy. I would say it is about average in noise level for an electric toothbrush. Should I go for the Oral-B Pro 2 2500 or Oral-B Pro 2 2000 electric toothbrush? Experience the Oral-B ORAPRO2000 Pro 2 2000 CrossAction Electric Rechargeable Toothbrush, from the #1 brand recommended by dentist worldwide.

Built-in Timer

In my hands-on testing I achieved a little over 10 days with the 1000, but a whole 3 extra days with the 2000. To access this additional mode, you have to press the power button an extra time each time you use the toothbrush. The Pro 2 defaults to the daily clean mode. The only difference between the Oral-B Pro 2 2500N and 2500W (other than the colour) is that the 2500N comes with the Crossaction brush head and the 2500W comes with the whitening brush head. Out of the two brush heads, I much prefer the CrossAction however if you prefer the pink colour, you can just get the Oral-B Pro 2 2500W and buy some CrossAction brush heads separately. What’s in the box? Protruding from the body, the power button is easy for the fingertip to detect. You do need to give it a fairly firm push, so those with dexterity issues might find it a bit more challenging.

The lower powered mode is ideal for those with inflamed or bleeding gums, or if you find the Daily Clean mode too intense. Our Oral-B cleaning modes article goes into more depth, should you want to know more. The Pro 2 2000 has a Li-Ion battery offering 14 days use compared to the 10 days of the NiMH of the Pro 1000. Specifications and cleaning ability are the same on the variants. What differs is the exact model name, the brush head supplied, the colour of the rubber grip on the handle and the box contents.Frustratingly, the brush does not remember the last cleaning mode used. This means every time you use the brush, you will need to press the power button twice if you want to use the sensitive mode. 1 press to turn it on and launch daily clean, a second to get to sensitive mode. You can’t change it before turning the brush on. The CrossAction brush head is of medium firmness and also features indicator bristles. These indicator bristles fade over time, letting you know when the brush head needs changing With the Pro 3, there are a series of dimples running from the top to the bottom of the handle. These dimples are far more subtle in appearance. They do provide texture onto which the fingertips can grip, but they are not quite as effective as the raised ridges on the 2000. For more discussion on this and whether to opt for electric or manual, see our article is there such a thing as an eco-friendly electric toothbrush. Conclusion: good cleaning results but consider the alternatives
