I was invited by Pan MacMillan to read this and I cannot even begin to say THANK YOU enough. I’m beyond grateful. I absolutely love the writing in this book. I love that I can easily get lost in this small town and these characters.

So, the big question is did I enjoy it? Well, put it this way, I want the next book in the Lovelight series NOW! But let's be real, the chemistry between them was just off the charts. I was literally yelling at my book the whole time, like "JUST KISS ALREADY."It was that good. Enter best friend Luka Peters. He just came home for some hot chocolate, and somehow got a farm and a serious relationship in the process. Will their fake love affair save Lovelight Farms in time for Christmas?

Lovelight Farms is the first in the series and we get see Stella and Luka's story, and their characterisation is just perfection. This story is full of all the genre's favourite tropes: fake dating, friends-to-lovers, witty banter, small town, holiday romance... you name it, it has it. Since the first book, Lovelight Farms, came out in 2021, this small town romance series has taken romance readers by storm! Lovelight Farms is just as wonderfully cheesy as it sounds. It’s a cosy Christmas romantic comedy featuring an adorable small-town (think Stars Hollow), witty dialogue, a Christmas tree farm, a hostile family of raccoons, delicious baked goods and endless amounts of hazelnut lattes. So begins a month long experiment to help each other get better at dating. Caleb tends to fall too hard, too fast and Layla needs to learn she’s worthy of a guy’s full attention and thoughtfulness. The attraction between them is undeniable, but as the end of the month approaches, they’re struggling to figure out what’s real and what’s for show.I highly recommend this whole series for literally everyone. It has charm, spice, quirky characters, nosy neighbors, laugh out loud moments, and a thread of tenderness and deep love connecting it all. This book was phenomenal. Everything down to even the tiniest of details was perfect. I was invested immediately. Aside from one very specific book that made me believe in love, I’ve never been one for friends to lovers as it’s always seemed a bit monotonous for me - but this book might have changed how I feel about that. It's official, I love B.K. Borison. I have heard so much about the Lovelight Farms series and actually started by accidentally reading Mixed Signals (the third in this series) and thought it was a stand alone, so when I saw this was a series, I flipped!

Nova Porter isn’t looking for love, and she certainly has no explanation for her attraction to buttoned-up, three-piece-suit-wearing investment banker Charlie Milford. Maybe it’s his charm? Or maybe it’s his determination to help her fledgling business however he can. Either way, she’s distracted every time he’s around. With her new tattoo studio set to open in her hometown of Inglewild, she doesn’t have time for frivolous flirtations. I love how Stella & Luka’s relationship develops. The adorable and (sometimes) steamy interactions, and not to mention the drama involving the strange going-ons at the farm. It all adds up to a gorgeously funny, cute and heartwarming romance.I’ll be hooome for Christmasss, youu can counttt on meee 🎶 as I tell you to not walk but run and get this book in your hands. Consider me fallen hopelessly in love with this book, with Stella and Luka, and the world that is the Lovelight series. And Charlie? Well, Charlie knows a good investment when he sees one. He’s hoping he can convince Nova he’s worth some of her time. I absolutely love the small town community in this book and how much this small town/book reminded me of Gilmore Girls, which is one of my favourite TV shows. Did I read this holiday romance in the middle of April? Yes and, though I was given this awhile ago as an ARC, you can definitely still read this any time of the year. I believe this was self pub at first and it got acquired by a traditional publisher. I’m not surprised at all, the story and the writing are done so well.This was an immediate 5 star read for me, and I don’t know what to say for the other books yet but I do know how the writing can transport you into the story and lives of these characters. Lovelight Farms is a sweet and steamy romance, by B. K. Borison, a holiday happily-ever-after for fans of Tessa Bailey and Hannah Grace. What's particularly refreshing about this romance story is that it's not just a superficial addition to the novel. The romance is woven into the fabric of the story, providing depth and complexity to both Stella and Luka’s characters. Their relationship is also a testament to the power of love and how it can help people through difficult times. It’s not an exaggeration when I say this book and this whole series are my favourite ever books. I love the characters and this town and the beautiful way Borison writes that has you yearning for more (and for Inglewild to be a real place). A pasture of dead trees. A hostile takeover of the Santa barn by a family of raccoons. And shipments that have mysteriously gone missing. Lovelight Farms is not the magical winter wonderland of Stella Bloom’s dreams.Book Summary: With her Christmas tree farm literally falling down around her, Stella makes a last ditch effort for a much needed influx of cash by attempting to win a social media contest. Unfortunately, that means finding a pretend boyfriend since she mayyyy have lied on the application. A grumpy farmer and a no-nonsense social media influencer have another chance at love in this charming romantic comedy.
