I did try it on facial hair (Remington states it’s not for facial hair), and it wasn’t great or a close shave. Actually was really happy with this and would have rated it five stars, except that it stopped working within six weeks of light use.

Only thing I can gind on maybe a downside is the shaver head can not be dismantled to clean , it is supposed to be washed , that leads me to a worry of rust but being a remington I would asume its maetrials are built of better stuff. However, it is messier, and inside the blade area, it’s harder to clean up when using shaving creams or soaps that are quite oily or sticky.If you charge it once a week and use it every two days (sometimes every three) then it's outstanding. The RX7 grip is rubberized and looks slicker, but I did like the feel (very grippy) of the RX5 despite it looking uglier.
