I have to say, at first I did not think I would get into this. First few chapters the modern setting with cell phones, social media, but also werewolves and faeries weirded me out. But then the plot showed up after a bit and it kept me on the hook until the very end. And oh my gosh, I am so glad I hung in because the ending was the best part, and it needed all of that build up to be so good. I even got into the world building, this strange modern fantasy with a mishmash of every fictional species you've ever heard of has me hooked. There was one big writing/character choice that really irritated me, but even as much as it bothered me I still immediately dove into the sequel because it's so suspenseful, I have to know what happens next.
