Served with Mint Aero and After Eight topped with Mint Choc sauce & After Eight toppings Let’s Go Nuts I had very poor expectations. To date all sugar substitutes have tasted disgusting but this is amazing. Definitely this lives up to its hype. It’s a little less sweet than sugar but looks the same and no problem putting more on your cornflakes as it’s zero calories! I experimented with using it in a sponge and it came out as normal except a bit paler than with “real sugar”. It’s not cheap but hopefully in time will cost less due to economies of scale. No regrets whatsoever, super flavour. Unlike other sweeteners it has a nice granular consistency and is excellent in a cup of coffee.

Unfortunately, the product does have an acquired metallinc bitterish taste and isn't any better than other sweeteners. Besides, it isn't 70% sweet compared to sugar but rather 50%. The only advantage is that it is natural. As I don't use sugar at all, I might be tempted to try and get used to it but it is far too expensive. Similar products with erythritol are ok as the sort of carbs it has cant be absorbed by the body, but this product doesn't state it. I am on a sugar free diet and the benefit of a 100% natural product makes it reassuring too. Worth the extra cost but would be good to have it in a cardboard box so recommend decanting it.
