King of Tokyo Fans! Want to get your hands on a ton of monsters? Well, there is a new Monster Box making way onto our tabletops this October which will include two of the expansions and a new playable monster (which will be familiar to some), plus some new and exclusive cards, a new dice tray and lots of bonus gear for players to cause chaos. If you have needed an excuse to get into King of Tokyo, this Monster Box will be sure to not disappoint.

On your mention of Skat that is similar to the game 500 (pretty common in New Zealand and Australia and the Northern US and Canada from what I hear - well, at least in the 70s & 80s) where there are... Having a bit of lighter fun with people at the local club playing Forgotten Waters. The only disappointment is that because there's around 20 people playing different games in a pub's function room... The beauty of King of Tokyo Monster Box is that it combines pretty much everything together into one neat little box with all the components you need for up to ten people to play. This makes it much easier to take when you’re seeing friends as this is a game you’ll want to be playing in a group. While officially this is playable for two players, the gameplay feels flat, and it just doesn’t work.Oho! New to Stardew? Keep me posted on what you think. It can take time to earn things, but other avenues open up (mining, fishing, interacting with townsfolk) to keep you engaged as the in-game days... Contained within the box is both the Power Up! and Halloween Expansions - I know that the Halloween expansions can be a bit difficult to get your monster-fighting paws on! Along with a brand new version of Gigazaur updated with box-exclusive cards. Victory Points – If you roll three-of-a-kind of any number of the dice gain as many Victory Points as the number. For every additional matching number gain 1 Victory Point. The fiercest player will occupy Tokyo, and earn extra victory points, but that player can't heal and must face all the other monsters alone!

The second expansion also brings in new monsters which are themed, of course, around everyone’s favourite spooky holiday. Keeping with the theme, it also brings in Costumes. These grant new abilities to each monster which vary and act similar to evolutions. End of Turn – Certain power card effects happen at end of turn and will be resolved then. Once complete, pass the dice to the player on your left. Enter Tokyo – If no Monster is currently occupying Tokyo City or Tokyo Bay (5 or 6 players), you must enter Tokyo. Being in Tokyo (city or bay) has some advantages and disadvantages:Being inside of Tokyo City has both positive and negative effects, which need to be balanced for maximum value.

The game contains additional elements in the form of cards and area control, though these are not primary aspects, which contribute to the premise of the game in a seamless manner. King of Tokyo – The premiseYou become King of Tokyo by claiming 20 victory points or by using your claws, lasers or spiked tails (or shrink rays, or fire-breathing, or poison spit, or nova breath, or, or, or…) eliminate your enemies. The fight for dominating the city of Tokyo has never been so competitive! This explosive Monster Box is filled with fun and adrenaline! Get King of Tokyo and all of its indispensable Power Up! and Halloween expansions for hours and hours of smashes. Use your Monster’s Evolution Cards to get even more special properties, and dress them up for even more fun! Heal – If you are outside of Tokyo, you can gain one Life Point for each Heart rolled. If you are inside of Tokyo the Heart Dice does not increase your life points. Maximum life points without power cards is 10. The two biggest expansions which have been released so far for the game will be included in the new release. However, if players wanted to get hold of any other releases including the playable monsters as part of King of New York, this box is a great start to building the game to have a hoard of monsters behind you. However, if you’re looking for a little more complexity, the Monster Box has you covered. The two included expansions provided little tweaks to the base play that can add a little more crunch. Power Up! introduces a new character, Pandakai, and adds Evolutions for each monster with sets of eight unique cards.
