Kitty Collins is a twenty-something, vegetarian heiress to a fortune made from meat, who chooses to support herself through her earnings as an Instagram Influencer. The best part about this book was leaving it on my desk at work and watching my male colleagues giving the cover the eye as they walked past my desk. But then something happens, something that throws Kitty new mantra and her plans into chaos, and now things are more than spiralling out of control. Kitty’s life is actually pretty normal, filled with parties she hates going to, brunch with three of her best friends (who are also Instagram influencers and anorexics), and a lavish life courtesy of her mother’s generous allowance each month despite their strained relationship.Kitty is a vegan Dexter-esque fashionista haunted by a dark past that seems to bleed into her present. Conveniently, as the heiress to Collins Cuts (even if she is vegan and refuses her share of the profits), she has the perfect disposal method available. The book is quite graphic and I’ll admit that it’s not what I usually sign up for when committing time to curl up and escape.

When he escalated to assault, she pushes him away and he stumbles and falls onto a broken wine bottle. The premise of this story is fantastic and while I didn’t expect things to get quite this dark and twisted, I think I enjoyed How To Kill Men And Get Away With It even more because of it.Don’t get me wrong, it’s bloody and there’s still enough tension, but the writing style combined with the actual story really worked for me.
