A tribute to Bvlgari’s Italian roots …Inspired by the wildness of coastal Italy, Bvlgari Man Wood Neroli takes the earthiness of the Man Wood Essence fragrance and turns it toward the sun, infusing it with a solar luminosity to create a new connection between man and nature … Bvlgari Man Wood Neroli Eau de Parfum is for the urban man in tune with his environment. Inspired by the power of the Mediterranean sun and developed by Master Perfumer Alberto Morillas, top notes of neroli and bergamot flow through the cedarwood heart to release a dazzling energy in our latest creation”. First spray: you can actually detect all of the notes mentioned. They don't compete, they all stand on their own. Its warm, classic-clean cologne vibe has a charming barber-shop style which might make it very popular. I was surprised by this. It's not at all what I expected - "Wood Neroli" as a title makes it feel "meh", and deserves a better title. I find a one squirt or two on each flat of the arm creates a delightful waft with more inclinations to good wholesome wood and less earthy, biologic fragrances. Go harder and the styrax asserts itself. Go harder and the entire scent is just much more lively and so much more radical. Hot, just plain hot. You might like it. Huh? As already written in the description of the fragrance I do not find the fragrance bad. Sure, it hasn't really become that spectacular, some of you might even call it boring, but I liked it because it has a nice, fresh scent for me, which you can use in spring and summer as a loose scent for everyday life. Of course one must also say that exactly this kind of scent gives like sand at the sea and depends here on the personal taste. And the smell of Bvlgari is also a little more expensive,... so whether the price is worth it, everyone must know for himself. I myself wouldn't buy it now, but as a present I would still use it instead of passing it on for example :D

Base notes i really don't smell any leather whatsoever, to me base which comes after 5-6 hours is a skin scent that smells like lemony woods, pine needles (very fresh baby ones) and not much else.Bvlgari Man Wood Essence Men EDP opens with a moderate projection of very sweet, citrus, and woody accords. The opening is delectable, fresh, aromatic, and very pleasant. The sweet citrus and lemon zest create a delicious note, zesty and sugary with a spicy touch added by the coriander. The cedar and cypress are prominent notes as well, both create a fresh woody and forest-like note which is enhanced by the vetiver which adds a green touch. The combination of these three notes is well done. The benzoin develops adding a sweet resinous touch. The fragrance has some subtle opening to dry-down changes, the citrus notes are sharper during the opening, the lemon is bright and well defined. As time passes, these notes lose intensity, meanwhile, the benzoin and vetiver develop more towards the dry-down; also, the fragrance drops from a moderate projection to low. Once Bvlgari Man Wood Essence Men EDP has reached its full dry-down, it can be summarized as a low projection, sweet (benzoin), woody (cedar, cypress), and citrusy fragrance with soft green accords. The fragrance feels casual, delectable, diluted, disappointing, diurnal, faint, fresh, gentle, slightly green, masculine, poorly-blended, sweet resinous, refreshing, relaxing, short-lived, sweet, versatile, weak, woody and pleasant. Generally, this is a bit more formal and a bit mature fragrance in my opinion. Safe all rounder except for maybe scorching summers where it might get a bit dense, but still a good choice. Wouldn't recommend blind buying it as it's not your regular freshie. Only reason why it's not a 10/10 is it's longevity - while I've had it stay on up to 12 hours, it projects mildly after about 2 hours. The bottle is beautiful but a bit tough to handle. But then again, nobody is going to bother about the bottle once they smell you. This is more unique and not the typical sweet millennial metrosexual "everybody else is doing it, so why can't we release something similar" type of scent. Like Paco Rabane One million, Invictus, Dior Sauvage, YSL L'homme, and all those unmanly sweet bomb scents appealing to the mainstream masses and clubbers just like the prolific overrated Oud releases that are saturating the stores eclipsing fragrances that are actually classic, unique, niche or true works of art. Shame that the opening doesn’t last longer or punch more, because it really is a fantastic opening. I guess since this stuff can be found for pretty cheap it’s not a bad deal if you enjoy that opening and just want to keep reapplying, but personally I wasn’t blown away by the overall experience, and I think there are nicer, longer lasting Neroli based fragrances than this one. Being a South East Asian, if I can only have one word to describe this fragrance is that it's... traditional. Yeah, I think that's it. Definitely not a mass pleaser and if I were not a South East Asian, I'd probably wonder where and when I can wear this fragrance.

If you are like me and are looking for a fresh summer scent to replace some old ones, i used versace pour homme, aqva amara (still plan to use that one tho) , dior homme cologne. This is a perfect thing to throw in stead of those, i am writing this on a cloudy 19 degrees celsius day (57F) so i can't wait to wear this out when it's scorching hot and have it project around me. As Wood Essence dries down, it really comes into its name. I get a resinous cedar that feels like I’ve become lost in a deep forest, but with enough of a green element to feel complete tranquility and enjoy my walk in the woods. The whole thing feels quite manly, but in an understated kind of way. I’m reminded of Grey Vetiver and the appeal of a fragrance that is able to make a very big statement while speaking softly.

It has a strong sugar note in it which is super unique and kinda cool. Like granulated table sugar or better yet granulated coconut sugar, but in the best way possible. Like an organic sugar cane accord, which is super unique but only comes in the mid after about 30 minutes when the sour apple note from the opening fades and even it fades away deeper into the dry down and you’re left with a kind of mossy aquatic vibe The fragrance: Soo, Wood Neroli begins with exactly the same scents that the fragrance already hints at in its name, namely woody notes and neroli. At the beginning you can smell bergamot, which gives a citrus-fresh feeling and citrus fans like it anyway. Then the intensive Neroliduft becomes well noticeable, which lasts also longer. Besides, there are the mentioned woody scents. While these still smell "generally woody" at the beginning, one smells a cedar further and further later, whereby also the intensity of this woody note increases clearly. Also the price tag is pretty high at discounters for all Bvlgari frags so it’s not super great value but imo is worth it because the scent is unique and nice I'm not a Blue fresh scents kinda guy. I've smelled so very few that actually excite & entice me, which is what made me search out something that isn't a typical fresh one. This is so fresh & inviting but at least to me (and my fairly untrained nose) is pretty unique. It's classy, refined with a little bit of "playfulness" (though I don't know if that's the exact word I want) & all the way through, retaining its class/sophistication/masculinity but in a much different way than the sweet floral citrusy way it started off. I'm not totally in love with this as my heart always goes towards the sweet/gourmand scents of Autumn & Winter, but I do need some that work in warmer weather, and this is most definitely one of those that I'll be reaching for when that time comes. Really don't get the hate around this fragrance. It's my signature scent and I really hope it stays under the radar. I've personally never smelled anything similar to this so in that sense it's very unique. I've had a colleague smell it because he found it familiar and he guessed about 20 times before giving up. Also, a great compliment getter from the ladies - but don't expect those to fall from the sky, it's not an average crowd pleaser.

The answer is clearly yes! Alberto Morillas has created a youthful Neorli fragrance here, which in my opinion can be worn without any problems in one's mid-twenties, upward compatible of course.

My Account

Definitely 'not for the office'. What the hell does that mean? Is it not for the strip club, the porno production house, the plant lot, the sweaty gym health club(wash your gear, for God's sake). It is not a must to test this scent, but you don't make a mistake if you sacrifice an arm for it, especially if you like neroli and woody scents without much bells and whistles. Oh and he also comes across a little bit clean towards the end, so he is also perfect for all men who clichédly take a shower only once every two weeks or so, especially now in the cold weather :DD This scent is not fresh or fruity. It is not a mass appealing blue fragrance. And it is not uber masculine, or animalic in any way with absolutely no herbaceous or green notes to be found. The opening here is a delightful citrus with a bit of a sharp green accent note. This green note harmoniously leads into a vetiver-focused heart which is beautifully accented by smooth, creamy orris. The dry down has a rich, dark earthy element underscored by a rich, slightly sweet styrax. The whole composition is rich and smooth. I would say the scent here has traditionally masculine associations. With the fragrance's restrained projection, I would wear it confidently to work. This opens with a fresh bouquet of notes overpowered by an off putting synthetic almond/coconut note. Unfortunately for me, this cloying note never settles into anything more pleasant. I'm very disappointed in this, especially because the notes and concept of this scent sounded so promising to me. I'm not sure if this is the cypress note, but a darker green more piney note would've been a better touch than what you get here. It smells slightly better from a distance than up close, but the effect is the same. This reminds me of an unnatural almond scented wood cleaner with a touch of coconut sunscreen sprayed on wood that had previously been cleaned with pine-sol.

Neroli in perfumes varies from very floral to very citrusy. Bvlgari Man Wood Neroli has the more citrusy kind but the floral aspect is still definitely present. TF Neroli Portofino comparisons are spot on, it's very similar. Very solid for money i bought it for I'm pleasantly surprised after reading a bunch of stupid stuff how it's unwearable and rough and bla bla bla. If you have smelled 5 different smelling fragrances you won't ever find this to be super weird or something like that. The further course proves to be very gentle, the term "woody amber" describes this almost perfectly. All in all, this is a very bright, fresh and juicy fragrance. Hello guys, today I'm coming to a Bvlgari men's fragrance, which I just happened to see standing on the shelf and thought I could test it sometime. Admittedly, the name "Neroli" also attracted me, as I like Neroli, but I also liked the colouring of the bottle. Besides, I had to change again, after I had tried more women's fragrances lately. It's a beautiful experience. Very vibrant colors everywhere, yet nothing seems too overwhelming. In which exhibits the delicate balance to the composition. Alberto Morillas sincerely understands how to do things right. Daring and sophisticated. Bravo.

Citrus open, two different types of Vetiver in the middle, some orris and a base where Styrax is loveable with finesse. Animalic haters might want to try this one. Or not ever! Now. . the Vetiver: You will not be entangled with the Vetiver. It will not take a tactical nuclear detergent bomb to refresh yourself. This Vetiver is so fun and free.
