I definitely want to keep going with this series but I’m not feeling compelled to binge read this one, probably because 16+ books in a series is a lot even for me and because it felt written in a way that I can actually pace myself.

In this world vampires don’t feed off of human blood but must feed off the blood of other vampires of the opposite sex. We also learn of the evil the Brotherhood fights against, one in particular whose darkness horrified me.

To help the reader understand the vampire words and terms there is a helpful glossary at the start of the book, which is great to fill the reader in on the background, but the book is so well written that you don’t need to keep looking things up in the glossary. Wrath, the last purebred vampire is king and leader of the Black Dagger Brotherhood, a group of vampire warriors fighting the evil Lessing Society, which is bent on eradicating vampires. You are taken on an exhilarating ride filled with fast action, sensual romance and a vampire world you have never seen before.

The Lessers seem more like threats because they were once humans so human who don’t know any better can get tricked into becoming lessers.Black Dagger Brotherhood é uma excelente série para quem gosta do gênero, e este primeiro livro não me decepcionou em nada.
