Laserprinter toner isn't usually a mix of suspended magnetic particles: only specialty toner inks are (the ones used for machine readable printing). If you can get the right sort, it will save a lot of effort, but the wrong toner won't work at all and will just make a mess. I absolutely love this lamp...it makes quite a pair with my ORIGINAL Lava Lamp (1960's model). Only negative is that once you 'become one' with the ferrofluid you're hooked. Two thumbs up for this."

Before anyone suggest to buy online, I would like to make it myself and learn the whole process VS store bought item. The good folks at the Univeristat Der Kunste Berlin made a ferrofluid display that can play Nibbles: http://www.digital.udk-berlin.de/en/projects/winter0405/main/hauptprojekt/snoil.html You can make brakes with it by putting some fluid between a wheel's axle and hub. The wheel will spin freely as the fluid acts just as a liquid lubricant, but if you apply a magnetic field, you're suddenly putting a lot of friction of the wheel's rotation. Very cool lamp! Great conversation piece. People play with it for hours on end. Size is better (larger) compared to other like items. This is about the same size as a normal lava lamp."Keep collections to yourself or inspire other shoppers! Keep in mind that anyone can view public collections—they may also appear in recommendations and other places. A soundbar can deliver room-filling immersive sound with Dolby Atmos support while others come with subwoofers and additional surround speakers you can mount on a wall to save space, and some are even wireless. Some have big booming volume while others are more suited to smaller rooms like apartments, and some are just designed to blow you away completely, like the 3,000-watt Nakmichi Dragon. There's a soundbar for every situation and budget.

As a result, he’s now considering ways to develop the concept further, with an eye on eventually manufacturing a model he can sell. “We are trying to combine with various speaker types,” Jung explained. “We plan to create a device that can be used by connecting to a high-fidelity speaker rather than a Bluetooth speaker.”Ships in 2 business days Patented Technology This is an actual lava lamp with NASA derived nanotechnology inside. The 'lava' is made of a magnetic fluid called ferrofluid. Like an ordinary...

No biggie. For aqueous ferrofluid, silanize the glass with Rain-X automotive windshield treatment. If you want both a hydrophobic and oleophobic glass surface, fluoroalkylsilane surface couplingAdd some isopropyl alcohol to the glass container. Then add some (or all) of your ferrofluid to the container. Then add some water to bring your isopropyl alcohol concentration to about 70%. Next, use a magnet to settle the ferrofluid to the bottom and then remove the magnet. If your ferrofluid has little bits that are floating, then you need to add more water. If your ferrofluid looks too stringy then I would add more alcohol. When I was done the ferrofluid had zero staining, like you see in the videos online, except for in a few spots. I think for better results I would need a higher quality glass container. For rare earth magnets cheap, hit up a two way radio shop. I'm constantly replacing speakers in portables (uh, walkie-talkies to those not in the industry). The, more or less, dime sized neo magnets are what I use to hold a lot of tools suspended from the four foot fluorescent light over my repair bench. Drivers, wrenches, a hammer... They're small but powerful. Keep ferrofluid around for a couple of months if you’d like to. Want to keep playing with your ferrofluid? Pour it into an airtight container that you don’t mind throwing away later. [5] X Research source Ferrofluid will last for a couple of months until the iron particles settle at the bottom. [6] X Research source Ships 8/12/19 This Does NOT act as a lava lamp. Instead, it has magnets at the bottom of the bottle to keep the ferrofluid spiky at all times. The ferrofluid comes...
