Description

The Animated Series was accompanied by a tie-in comic book, The Batman Adventures, which followed the art style and continuity of The Animated Series instead of other Batman comic books. The Batman Adventures, through several format changes to reflect the changing world of the series and its spin-offs, outlasted the series itself by nearly a decade, finally being cancelled in 2004 to make way for the tie-in comic of the then-new, unrelated Batman animated series; The Batman. The character of Harley Quinn's first official comic appearance occurred in issue No. 12 of the series. It has become highly sought after by collectors and fans of the character. [30] Superman & Batman Magazine [ edit ] Two-Face's strategy in "Almost Got 'Im" (strapping down Batman to a giant coin and flipping the coin in the air) comes from Batman #81, February 1954. [3] The concept of the giant penny itself originated in World's Finest Comics #30, September 1947, in a secondary tale featuring a lesser-known villain, the Penny Plunderer. [4] Batman investigates a cult called the Brotherhood, founded by the "mystic" Nostromos, after hearing several stories about his ability to predict the future. Batman finds out that Nostromos is a con artist who was rigging near-fatal accidents to gain the confidence of Gotham's upper-class citizens, and he must expose this ruse before it is too late.

In 2006, it was nominated and won Outstanding Special Class Animated Program and Outstanding Achievement in Sound Editing – Live Action and Animation.

Side guide

In terms of its physical presentation, Batman: The Complete Animated Series - Deluxe Limited Edition really pretty keen. Overall, it's sleek, has some weight to it, and it doesn't take up too much extra space on one's shelf, though there are a couple small things that could be an issue for consumers. Now, what about the actual content on the discs themselves? How do the episodes look? How are the bonus features? Well, as I said above, prepare to be amazed.

At the age of eight, Bruce Wayne, the son of billionaire philanthropists, witnessed the murder of his parents, Thomas and Martha, during a mugging on the street. The event left him traumatized and mentally scarred for the rest of his life. Bruce was placed in the care of his family's butler, Alfred Pennyworth. Over the years, Bruce slowly turned the pain and trauma he sustained into a burning fuel for a lifelong obsession, as he underwent rigorous training in mental and physical conditioning. Having observed the rampant crime and corruption in Gotham City, Wayne swore an oath to dedicate his entire life to fighting crime, in a bid to avenge the murder of his parents, while being guided by his self-enforced moral code to never kill and to refrain from using firearms (which he detested, as the tool of his parents' murder). Inspired by his childhood fear of bats, Wayne reasoned that he could use that fear against the criminals he faced, and adopted the identity of 'The Batman', a feared, near-mythical bat-like vigilante. Fox approached Bruce Timm to make a spin-off centered on Catwoman, but the project was abandoned shortly thereafter. [229]Batman: The Animated Series is regarded by many fans as the best version of Batman bar none. It’s also considered one of the two or three greatest animated series of all time, and for very good reason. The series is a stylish and groundbreaking gem for American animation. Ten years I’ve waited for it to arrive on Blu-ray and the result is worth every minute. Along with Warner’s new 2001: A Space Odyssey in 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray, this is a strong contender for the Best Blu-ray Release of 2018. It is absolutely not to be missed. Very highly recommended! The Cat and the Claw: Part I", "The Cat and the Claw: Part II", "The Lion and the Unicorn", "Cat Scratch Fever" [135] Several rich industrialists, all having something to do with the destruction of plant life, are disappearing after being invited to the Eternal Youth Health Spa. Bruce Wayne also receives an invitation (one of his greedy directors nearly made the deal to destroy a rainforest before Bruce forced him to shut the operation down). Bruce passes his invitations on to Alfred and his lady friend Maggie and they go in his place. When they do not return, Batman investigates, discovering that Poison Ivy runs the spa and that she has been using a formula to turn the industrialists into trees, including Alfred and Maggie. While following Count Vertigo's trail, Batman encounters Talia al Ghul, the daughter of the head of the Society of Shadows, who was sent by her father to prevent the capture of a sonic drill that the Count stole. After his identity is accidentally revealed to Talia, Batman is unsure as to where her true loyalties lie.
