This monitor supports G-Sync and FreeSync technology, which means screen tearing and stuttering are eliminated for a more fluid gaming experience. Alienware Command Center: Application to control the RGB backlighting and other basic functions like power consumption and color profiles.

While some small highlights are around 1,000 cd/m², the overall real scene peak brightness is worse than the Dell Alienware AW3423DW.

You can adjust it in any way you like, but like most curved and ultrawide displays, you can't rotate it into portrait mode. It looks best in dark rooms because it displays deep blacks without blooming, but it looks worse in bright rooms as ambient light causes the black levels to raise. The monitor also presents excellent black levels in dark rooms, rendering it a prime choice for enjoying scenic video games like Red Dead Redemption 2. Expect smooth gameplay and view fast-moving graphics with incredible clarity for quicker in-game reactions thanks to an industry-fastest 0. A revamped OSD layout with centralised joystick allows for easy navigation of the monitor’s settings and features.

Even when looking at monsters and fantasy environments, the texture is so convincing you’ll find yourself reaching out to touch things like stone or metal. The reason I recommend the AW3423DWF for gaming is that it delivers a magnificant image that works in a wide range of games, with a fast enough refresh rate to suit competitive play along with the colours, viewing angles and clarity that enhances more cinematic single-player titles. The Dell AW3423DWF is an excellent overall monitor that delivers fantastic picture quality, especially if you're using it in a dark room. A few minor demerits still linger, but it's hard to stay mad at an OLED for being so appealing in just about every other area.

The AW3423DFW introduces a new OLED variant to the mix, QD-OLED, where the QD stands for Quantum Dot. The Dell AW3423DWF has a few extra features, including a Picture-in-Picture/Picture-by-Picture option to use with two devices. AMD, and the AMD Arrow logo, and combinations thereof are trademarks of Advanced Micro Devices, Inc. With firmware update M3B104, the color volume is similar as on the previous firmware, but you don't need to enable both Source Tone Map and Console Mode for the best results. by 12 inches, the monitor’s 34-inch screen is put to good use, with a rated brightness peak of 1,000 nits (which we’ll put to the test below), an effectively infinite contrast ratio (due to the nature of OLED), and a 21:9 screen ratio, putting it squarely in ultrawide territory.Crosshair: Displays a crosshair that assists the in-game aiming by being "always visible", making it easier to hit your target every time. Although they use the same QD-OLED panel technology, there are a few differences in their features, which you can see below. Expect incredibly realistic visuals for gameplay that draws you in deeper thanks to 1000 nits peak brightness, infinite contrast ratio and VESA DisplayHDR TrueBlack 400 certification. However GSYNC works well and it is a really nice monitor to use for many hours, both for work and gaming. Even though I wear corrective lens, I can immediately tell the difference from the previous 1440p gaming monitor I had.

Unless you need the native G-SYNC support on the AW3423DW or want to play 10-bit HDR games at a higher refresh rate, consider the AW3423DWF, as it offers much of the same performance at a lower cost. With a 34-inch curved display and 1440p resolution, it delivers stunning visuals that immerse the player in the game. There are Text Clarity issues like on Windows PCs due to the unique subpixel layout, and you can see two additional text clarity photos on macOS with the Dell Alienware AW3423DW here and here. Settings : the built in menu let's you alter colour set up, hdr etc it's easy to use and i've had no issues using it.

The Dell Alienware AW3423DWF and the LG 27GR95QE-B are both 1440p OLED gaming monitors with a few differences. PCMag is obsessed with culture and tech, offering smart, spirited coverage of the products and innovations that shape our connected lives and the digital trends that keep us talking. This sits firmly on a dual monitor arm with a 1080p monitor in portrait mode beside it of which previously supported but struggled to support an Acer Predator X34p (2017) wityh tilting which is meant to be about 6-7 KG, this is meant to be 6 KG but felt far lighter than the X34p and tilting is pretty easy and doesn't just go "limp" when trying to arrange the perfect angle.
