Description

The liquid is nice and crystal clear, like the water from a fresh mountain spring. As for the aroma coming off the glass, it’s spot on for a typical tequila — herbal notes close to fresh cut grass with a bit of lemon citrus to brighten the whole thing up. Tequila Herradura (officially Grupo Industrial Herradura) is a tequila distillery located in Amatitán, Jalisco, Mexico. It was formally founded in 1870 by Pretty boring bottle. Nothing of note here, although the fact that it's a tall bottle means it's easier to find in our crowded liquor cabinet :P Usually, a little bit of ice is a death sentence for flavors that are too light or not well saturated enough to stand up to those harsh conditions. And, sadly, that’s exactly what is going on here. El Jimador Añejo spends an entire year ageing in American oak barrels, lending it an unrivalled soft and sweet taste, plus a rich dark amber colour. This tequila is rich, full-bodied, and can make any occasion special. On The Nose

Another important brand is el Jimador, launched in 1994 and named after those who harvest agave plants. [11] el Jimador is 100% agave tequila. [12] It is currently the best-selling tequila in Mexico, with a twelve percent market share. [12] [13]

I'm Back!!!

What truly sets this blanco tequila apart from rival brands is its smoothness. Despite not being aged, El Jimador Blanco is as smooth and easy to drink as another distiller’s reposado variant and mixes well. El Jimador Reposado is the company’s take on this classic, best-of-both-worlds tequila style, aged in American oak barrels for two months. It impresses with a smooth golden colour and an even smoother taste.

The Añejo is undisputedly a paragon of sipping tequilas, while the Blanco is a great shooter and mixer. Lastly, the Reposado represents an intelligent compromise between the two. Herradura, in 2013 under the sub-label "Colección de la Casa," released in limited areas (Mexico, United States, El Salvador, and Australia), two new Reposado Tequilas partially aged in non-traditional barrels. One Aged in oak than in Port barrels [18] and another partially aged in Cognac barrels as well as traditional oak. [1] The official history of Herradura begin with Félix López, who began as the distillery administrator under then owners Josefa Salazar and her sons. In 1870, López took over the distillery and agave fields and registered it as a tequila producer under the name of Hacienda San José del Refugio. [2] [3]
