Additionally, the way the pieces fit together to achieve a slope is clever, as is the way in which the slopes fit in place in the frame. Not a single stud of space is wasted, either: the ground floor is flush with equipment and raw materials, doing justice to the set’s name; the middle level – accessed by a stepped side entrance – contains a full kitchen and dining suite; and the top floor is jam-packed with a fireplace, writing bench, quilted bed, treasure chest and bearskin rug. At first I was confused as to where it was going, but it all came together, and I think it looks good with the lime green and green leaf pieces along with the red apples.

This set is a bit unusual in that it has a well rounded and irregular base, which is a stark contrast to the angular bases that I’m used to in the LEGO Architecture series. Dinner is laid out on the table with a turkey leg and salad, as well as soup boiling away in a cauldron over the stove (the small logs make a reappearance here, fuelling the fire – nice touch!crystal clear Perspex® display case, assembled with our uniquely designed screws and connector cubes, allowing you to easily secure the case together. There are lots of really great features in the finished model and I’m reluctant to point them all out, because I think it might spoil the experience of building it for yourself. At first the difference was jarring but seeing a full review convinced me it's done justice to the original submission. The real highlight of this stage is the gorgeously detailed wooden bed which has a nice looking checkered blanket in 28 Dark Green Green, 107 Bright Bluish Green Dark Turquoise / Teal, and 37 Bright Green.

Photos of this set leaked on January 2, leading to a vigorous debate amongst the LEGO fan community about the upcoming set because it looks significantly different than the original submission. The point is that you’ve really got everyone you need to fill out 21325 Medieval Blacksmith – any extra minifigures might have felt superfluous. Although to be fair, by then their population was probably already decimated due to overhunting (and had disappeared entirely from Britain). I'm definitely a fan of the final model and will be picking one up when i see a good gift with purchase or double points offer.
