Don’t get us wrong – steam will never cut through the toughest oven stains in the way a chemical oven cleaner can, but it did a great job of loosening baked-on grime. The pads rotate and scrub, and sort of propel the mop along, so it’s not hard work at all and, in fact, led to a very speedy clean. We found that the fabric attachment was pretty good at getting stubborn stains out of carpets but, as the reservoir is 250ml, it’s best for spot stains rather than attempting to clean a wider surface area. I really like that after it is used, all that remains is a very slight dampness that quickly dries, unlike a traditional mop.Snap in the upper handle and it is ready for the attachment of the scrubbing pads, filling with distilled water and almost immediate use.
