Through this review, hopefully by now you’ve got a pretty good sense of what the Swing Caddie is, and what it isn’t. To test the accuracy of the Swing Caddie SC4, I ran it head-to-head with my Foresight GCQuad [review HERE] both indoors with premium balls and outdoor with range balls. In all scenarios, I found the SC4 to be as good or better than anything I’ve tested in this price range. The data is typically very close to the GCQuad – often perfectly in line – and never wildly off. Launch direction was the stat that deviated the most and the most often, but it did always point in the correct direction. Ultimately, I would not use the SC4 for a professional club fitting, but it’s more than accurate enough to be a practice tool. The new one will be a little bit more accurate across the board, but the rest comes down to personal preference. Like the SC300i, the SC4 is also an indoor/outdoor portable launch monitor and can be used with the MySwingCaddie app to get video replay of you swing, store your data, and produce swing overlays. The unit connects via Bluetooth and can be used by several users as long as they have a MySwingCaddie app account that is connected with the device while they are using it. The Swing Caddie SC4 functions as a portable launch monitor and full-featured simulator. The SC4 delivers professional-level swing and ball flight measurements. The SC4 links to the free MySwingCaddie App while in simulator mode to deliver a full virtual display with analytics and information. The device is compatible with E6 Connect and the entire catalogue of photo-realistic courses, improving the simulator experience further. The remote control, distant voice output, and rechargeable Lithium battery all guarantee the best degree of comfort and delight.

First, if you’re someone who really likes to analyze your data after the fact – there’s no way to hook it up to your phone or computer and analyze/save your data. Yet most of the time when I was hitting my drives straight-ish, it would give me a number that seemed pretty spot on. For a launch monitor at this price, the first question is always, “Is it accurate?” The Swing Caddie SC200 PLUS is very impressive in terms of accuracy. Testing both indoors and outdoors, the SC200 PLUS was consistently in line with a Foresight GC2 that costs roughly 50 times as much. Like the SC300i, club and ball speed readings were within 1 MPH and launch angles were typically within 1.5 degrees. The Swing Caddie SC4 offers a lot of data. Like the SC300i, it reports swing speed, ball speed, carry distance, launch angle, apex, and smash factor. The SC4 goes a level up by adding launch direction to the mix and reporting spin rate on screen (the SC300i only gave spin numbers in the app). The Swing Caddie SC4 Simulator + Launch Monitor is acutting-edge device that combines the functionalities of a simulator and a launch monitor, providing you with an immersive and data-driven golfing experience. It truly made for a hands off experience that just allowed me to focus on the shots, rather than deal with the fiddling with the device all the time. I’ve made it pretty clear the accuracy is good with shots hit well, and sporadic with the shots that aren’t hit so well – but what are other fundamental downsides to this device? Physical Training**: Regular use of the training aids keeps your golfing muscles engaged and promotes suppleness. Ball speed and club head speed (sort of) are what it’s actually measuring. And it’s consistent there. On the other hand, carry distance, as far as I can tell, is interpolated by the club and loft angle you select. If you really vary your loft from shot to shot, you’re going to see some odd numbers when it comes to carry, that don’t match up with where you see it landing. Especially, in my experience, with wedges. It doesn’t account for spin at all, either. You will see some howlers if you mishit.

The Swing Caddie SC200 PLUS adds the ability to measure practice swings to the popular SC200. Extremely easy to use. Outstanding accuracy for the price. The new Swing Caddie SC4 golf launch monitor does everything the SC300i does, plus adds some pretty solid upgrades, including: Since those humble beginnings, our endeavour has blossomed into a robust and trusted online retailer, representing the leading brands in the golf industry. We take immense pride in being your go-to destination for all things golf!
