It's been years since I sat down to 'Home Alone,' having avoided any television broadcast, as well as the home video releases ever since the VHS copy from my childhood. The Blu-ray release of 'Home Alone' isn't too spectacular, with pedestrian audio and video, and a port of the DVD extras, making this release not exactly a must own, but for those without the film, what better time than now to add it to the collection? Now and forever a favourite among kids, this 1990 comedy written by John Hughes ( The Breakfast Club ) and directed by Chris Columbus ( Mrs. A bit wooden with dialogue, the then-little star's voice could grate on the nerves (especially in long, wise-child passages of pure bromide), but he unquestionably carries Home Alone . Every kid wanted to be left home alone after this movie - at least I did - because who wouldn't want to have the run of the house and do whatever they wanted? And I'm certainly not a fan of watching characters discover true meanings of life or family or giving or friendship around the holidays.

Home Alone holds up after three decades of delighting fans of all ages and its new UHD release is a stunner.Deleted Scenes (SD, 15 min) - Plenty of family interaction, a finish line banner rip, singalongs to parodies of Christmas songs (shoot me!

Pesci) and Marv (Daniel Stern), but instead the ostensibly scary neighbor Old Man Marley (Roberts Blossom). This amount includes seller specified domestic postage charges as well as applicable international postage, dispatch, and other fees. For some, the nostalgia of sitting in the theater watching a small kid take down grownups with a variety of diabolical traps is well worth revisiting. Accidentally left behind when his family rushes off on a Christmas vacation, Kevin gets busy decorating the house for the holidays. We don’t share your credit card details with third-party sellers, and we don’t sell your information to others. By planting booby traps galore, adorably mischievous Kevin stands his ground as his frantic mother attempts to race home before Christmas Day. The new transfer offers a notable improvement over previous releases, but without a new audio mix or any new bonus features, it may be a tough sell for those who already have bought this title countless times over the decades.

Home Alone makes its 4K UHD Blu-ray debut thanks to Disney and their retitled 20th Century Studios brand in a 2-disc 4K UHD + Blu-ray + Digital set. Dialogue isn't always cleanly prioritized, sometimes getting absorbed into louder musical segments (which definitely show priority in this mix), while a few lines feel like they were ADR'ed in a terrible sound booth with a microphone inside the actor's mouth. It's become a generational favorite as the kids that first saw this movie in theaters now have kids and are introducing it to their brood.

DTS Digital Surround Sound, DTS Digital Surround Sound, Behind the Scenes, Bonus Footage, Commentary: Chris Columbus (Director), Macaulay Culkin, Deleted Scenes, Documentaries: 'How to Burglar-Proof your Home - The Stunts of Home Alone', 'Home Alone Around the World', 'Where's Buzz Now? Facial features, though, lack any real definition or sharpness, with stubble blurring lightly, and no real character being visible on any visage.
