Lower mids are somewhat obstructed by mid-bass bleed and come across as increasingly recessed as you move up toward the true mids. Guitar tonality is fairly realistic although the slow decay is still evident. Vocals are not accentuated and sometimes fall behind the remaining instrumentation a bit but do have good tonality and texture. If volume is pushed a bit to compensate, it brings vocals up a bit but also increases stridency in the process. The boost in the upper-mids introduces sibilance if the source material has any leaning in that direction anyway. Strings have a bit too much energy as well and tonality comes across as a bit thin and hot on violin as a result. Ultimately the Ks2 is not a mid-centered in-ear and will do well with EDM or house that don’t focus on vocals heavily. Have you ever been in a candle store? You lift up the lid to a jar, give the waxy glob a big whiff and then move on to the next. Between smells, it gets hard to determine if you really like a smell, or if it is just a reflection of the last jar.

This indie classic is always good to hear at any point of time. The whole experience in Believe is very amazing with a good amount of air in between the instruments. This is well represented with a big sense of soundstage. The trebles performs decently but here some of my observations; It has an enough brightness just to give a crisp, sparkling and decent airy extension. I will keep the soundstage and imaging brief here as I would like to compare it to other earbuds in the similar price range. Mids Unrecessed, they sound much better on their higher side than on their lows. Classical guitars, for example, come accross just great. There is definitely no isolation with earbuds as is common with earbuds so there is not much to say about this. Treble: The lower-treble doesn’t slope naturally and there are some peaks around 7–8KHz (depending on insertion depth). This results in sibilance and also certain instruments like violins, cello sounds peaky and tiring. The resolved detail is also nothing of note. Cymbals sound a bit splashy (a typical weakness of this particular BA driver model), just listen to The Winery Dogs’ You Saved Me to get a feel for it. KS2 doesn’t sound as splashy as certain other KZ models though so I guess that’s something. Listening to Earth Wind Fire's "September" on these is fun; the bass really shines through in this song and sounds particularly groovy due to that fast bass and forward bass presence. Every note from the bass guitar is clear and fast which adds to the groove.

Kaneda- by Geinoh Yamashirogumi – at 1:36sec -the separation, resolution and imaging ohh darn, this Believe made me BELIEVE similar to when I heard the Sundara for the first fking time !!! The treble is elevated but not by much compared to its bass and has a decent extension a As for the design of KS2 - its quite generic to current trend like KZ with good quality plastic resin finishing with decent cable slightly better than similar price KZ offerings. The size and fitting is good imho and also weight wise is light and comfort factor is good.Treble – There’s a boost in lower treble which helps to give a bit of life and energy to the mix so that it doesn’t sound dull. I won’t advise to use these foam-free. Full foams do help a lot with smoothening the highs without becoming boring (no pierce as well). It isn’t splashy at all and is crisp. There is roll-off as typical of budget buds but that elevation in the lower region does help for those looking for the treble. Vocals and mids are probably my favourite part about this earbud. Female vocals are more forward than male ones, without being overly harsh. By and large it is very smooth and non fatiguing for me at moderate volumes. Details in the mids are actually quite good when amped, was surprised in this aspect. The nozzle of the earphone is also made of some kind of metal with a metal grill to prevent earwax from getting into the drivers. The sound signature of KB Ear Lark is more on v-shaped tuning as bass and treble are more prominent that the mids’ placement is more on neutral and deep-seated in the audio frequency spectrum. The mid-bass and sub-bass are fairly linear which ultimately puts the emphasis on the sub-bass. You can get a nice rumble out of these on certain songs, like in Rhythm & Sound’s “No Partial”, where the KS2 delivers some thunderous bass.

With Cayin N6ii with A01 line out to Pico Power is where Believe shined. The lows became tighter and precise, the soundstage became holographic and the highs were detailed but not sibilant, and well extended. Timbre – Earbuds generally don’t suffer from bad timbre, although I have read of a few exceptions. The KB Ear Stellar reproduces instruments/notes in a realistic/natural way, nothing off-sounding with it. Mid Bass More elevated than sub-bass, not particularly fast not sloppy either. Definitely inlfuencing and often veiling both sub-bass and lowmids. Vocals is clear but a wee bit recessed which makes the singer sounds distant . The end result makes the vocal sound little bit airy or thin but clarity is good. Overall the presentation is acceptable with huge soundstage and imaging.

Soundstage is another great aspect of the ks2 , with depth bright deep and as well as height reaching a nice height. Width is good not the widest I've heard but the compressed either .imaging is great as well. Despite me not being a big fan of the build quality of the earphones, I find them really comfortable to wear even for long hours. Due to how lightweight it is, the earphones feel like they are never in your ears and that is really good. On top of that, the lightweight cable never feels like it is tugging on the earphones, adding on to the comfort of the earphones. Coming to the Amping side if the story – you can literally taste or rather hear the difference between them be clear, as sour is from sweet!! Female vocals sound pretty great per se , they are well balanced. Not a hint of sibliance at all. They are well extended with air in their voice which comes through pretty nicely!!
