I'm comparing the VE-8 to the Original TC-Helicon Harmony G. I think the harmonies are more realistic (no one has realistic harmonies) on the Harmony G and that's a 12 year old pedal. First off, we must discuss the looper. It’s there as a fun feature and a barebones alternative to loop live. However, looping is not an easy task, and dedicated looper pedals present a multitude of options to better control the layered sounds.The Vocalist also makes it easy to tweak the harmony intervals. For my needs there are only 3. And I can't use Doubling with Harmony. I have songs where I want Doubling on the whole song then add HIGH/HIGHER during the Chorus. Can't do it.
