Description

The second condition on the monster determines if the kill is successful or not, the monster will have a value required to kill it, along with a value which can result in bad things to happen to that player, anything in between has no effect. (For example, an 8+ roll is a successful roll and a 5- is a failed roll) Kill three unique monsters, and you win the game! Most of these cards offer positive benefits, such as bonuses to rolls or protections for the equipped Hero card. However, there are also Cursed Item cards that provide negative effects and can be assigned to enemy Hero cards to give them disadvantages. Your turn ends either when you have no action points left or when you choose not to take any additional actions. Challenge cards can be used to try to stop other players when they attempt to play a Hero, Item, or Magic card from their hand. Only one Item card can be equipped to a Hero at a time, and you can’t replace an Item card with another.

Challenge cards are used to stop another player from playing a Hero card, Item card, or Magic card. When a player begins to play any of these cards, you may play a Challenge card. The challenge is then initiated.

Warriors & Druids Expansion

Don’t like what your opponent just played? Throw down a challenge! Challenge cards can be played instantly to try to stop another player from playing a hero, item, or magic card. Playing a challenge card initiates a 1V1 challenge in which you and another player both have to roll the dice. If they win the challenge, they still get to play their card, but if you win the challenge, you get to send their card directly to the discard pile! Anyway, I always recommend protecting your cards with sleeves, which is the best way to avoid ruining the edges while shuffling them. Replayability The other method to win the game is to successfully build your raid party, this means having 6 different types of hero’s played out in front of you (including your party leader card) this is the more sneaky way to win the game and can sometimes leave the game ending on a bit of an anti-climax but nevertheless is still a win to brag about! Can I Stop Someone Winning? Every player gets to choose a party leader character to represent them throughout the game. Each party leader card has a class and a skill that gives you an edge over your opponents. Whether you enjoy fighters, bards, wizards, or thieves, you'll find a party leader that's right for your play style - but choose wisely, because you only get one party leader for the whole game!

If a card’s effect tells you to take immediate action, then you don’t need to spend an additional action point to take that action. When you Challenge a player, you both must roll the dice. If your roll is equal to or higher than the other player’s roll, you successfully stopped that player from playing their Hero, Item, or Magic card. Players have the ability to play item cards which can either boost their own party or curse other party players giving them a negative effect, on top of this there are also modifier cards which give a positive or negative value to players roll if they had just successfully rolled to defeat a monster this card can be played to tip the odds in your favour and stop them from taking the win! But be aware, they also have the ability to counter should they have a modifier card themselves! The first person to successfully slay three monsters, or build a full party with six classes, wins the game! » PARTY LEADERS « As a side note, if you’re looking for a larger group game, the second expansion (Berserker and Necromancer) would allow a whopping 10 players. There definitely aren’t as many games that include so many players successfully, so hats off to Unstable Unicorns. Time for a Here to Slay board game night! Conclusion The game follows a similar concept to the original Unstable Unicorns game. It sees you strategically building an army of heroes. Your end goal is to build a mighty raid party to slay monsters of various difficulties. You must prove yourself as the greatest champion amongst your friends.
