It was a very adventurous book and I liked following the characters on the journey they embarked upon. I liked the main character as each one of them has something unique that they bring to the team. I also really liked the wholesome friendship that develops between them over the course of their adventures. It showed that it doesn’t matter who you are, you always will have someone This book was a lot of fun and one that both children and older readers will definitely really enjoy. It also offers a great way for young readers to discover various historical figures that they might not know much about, such as Wangari Maathai and Tomoe Gozen.

The Game is on. Travel with wonder.' When Arthur, Ren and Cecily investigate a mysterious explosion on their way to school, they find themselves trapped aboard The Principia - a scientific research ship sailing through hazardous waters, captained by one Isaac Newton. Lost in the year 2473 in the Wonderscape, an epic in-reality adventure game, they must call on the help of some unlikely historical heroes to play their way home before time runs out. Jumanji meets Ready Player One in this fast-paced adventure featuring incredible real-life heroes, from the internationally bestselling author of The Uncommoners series. Arthur, Ren and Cecily have nothing in common apart from the same school they all attend and their ability to be in the wrong place at the wrong time. An explosion occurs on an otherwise quiet street and the trio investigate where it stemmed from, and to possibly rescue the howling creature they can hear from an abandoned home as well. They find a fluffy, white dog inside. And, also, an entire other world. QaS: Finally, can you recommend some games that you think fans of Wonderscape would probably really enjoy? It's a fast paced book, and I did find myself wishing we could just stop and appreciate the world we found ourselves in more. I also would have liked a little more input from the future humans, as it seemed strange that the friends only ever interacted with the T/V/M Classes and the Historical figures. Author Guy Bass introduces SCRAP, about one robot who tried to protect the humans on his planet against an army of robots. Now the humans need his...This was such a fun book! I very recently read and loved Ready Player One, and have been eager to read more books like it. This book gives us video gaming, time travel, and a chance to meet historical heroes we might not have heard of, like Wangari Maathai and Tomoe Gozen.

beside you and the message at the end was empowering, showing that you have controlof what you choose and the future you want. It says in the book that “Our futures are fullof possibility”, “They always have been”. And I really liked that quote. Wonderscape is abook I would recommend to other readers my age. I really liked the incorporation of historical figures, such as Isaac Newton. I thought for a middle grade it was a great additional to bring some educational elements to a fun, adventure book.JB: I watched lots of escape room challenges and played video games to give me ideas. I tried to make sure every challenge tested a different skill – some are physical, others require brainpower and wits. Sometimes, research about a historical figure gave me inspiration. Isaac Newton, for example, used to fold over the corners of his notebook to mark points in the text. That spiked the idea to have a hidden message in his notes that the main characters have to find. In the 25 th century, I-RAGs are the latest and hottest form of entertainment, and HXPERION’s ‘Wonderscape’, in which “wanderers” (i.e. players) complete challenges to win currency, skills and realm-keys, is the most popular of them all.

Gaming and time travel collide in this exhilarating middle-grade adventure, from bestselling author Jennifer Bell. I really liked our main characters, Arthur, Ren and Cecily. Each one of them has something unique that they bring to the team and I really enjoyed seeing them work together to solve puzzles and help each other escape enemies and dangerous situations. I also really liked the beautiful and wholesome friendship that develops between them over the course of their adventures. What I liked in particular about their friendship is how supportive they are of each other and how they are always looking out for each other. I also really liked how inclusive the book is. Throughout the story, we meet different characters and historical figures of various diverse ethnicities, which I thought was really nice. I also appreciated that our main characters were shown to be from very diverse family set-ups. For instance, Arthur lives with his dad, who is taking care of him as a single parent, and Ren has two mums. Appearance - Seems to have the usual dragon appearance, with four legs, spinal spikes and horns. Fair enough. (7/10)The thing that stood out most for me was the puzzles and riddles which were used as clues in the realm challenges. QaS: In the game, the different levels that players can visit are called realms, and each one has its own unique theme. What was your favorite realm to create?

It turns out that Arthur, Ren and Cecily have been transported to the 25th Century, right into a game called Wonderscape. This in-reality adventure game uses the latest in technology to allow its users to travel to different realms, completing tasks and challenges to win the honour of meeting famous figures from throughout history. What I found interesting was the Wondercloaks and how it almost does everything for them, for example, translate what people say and it sends danger warnings too.So relaxing. I appreciate the care and uniqueness you put in all of your products. It’s a joy to relax with the textured balls that are fun to roll in the sand. Waves, bubbles and footprints-how perfect." Change of Company Secretary and Director of Registered Non-Hong Kong Company(Appointment/Cessation) I read this book with my 11-year-old, and when we finished, I asked him, "What should I say in my review?" One aspect of the book which I really enjoyed and liked was how there were different realms and in each realm there was a different story each time as well as adding the historical figure as well. Wonderscape is quite honestly one of the most propelling middle-grade books I have read, possibly ever! After putting this book through the CAWPILE rating system (created by Book Roast), it came out at a final score of 8.57, which is a rather high 4 star!
