Meet the gorgeous men which make up the band 'BOUND' Loren (fun loving and sweet), Jericho (the one you could lean on) & Houston (broody and controlling) and our feisty sassy heroine Braxton, who you will absolutely adore. The hunt had been on for a new band member to join the ranks, with a name of Braxton imagine these boys surprise when a girl walks in claiming her place in the band as their newly appointed guitarist. sweet, broken lil Jericho. i will protect this man with my life 🔪 any disrespect to my blushing soft boi will require retribution. NOT BB, it's like it was perfectly choreographed symphony of passions. I was there watching them like a voyeur. Braxton's synthesis is very interesting - she experiences sounds as colors, which is a common phenomenon among those who have the feature, but she also smells emotions! The smell of cherries is passion, the smell of olives is sorrow and so on. I Must tell that this is a completely new invention of the writer and has not been known to be true . it is her right, only I thought it was pretentious and absurd. This could not be Braxton Fawn. As if only now remembering that she was responsible for this mess, Oni Sridharshot to her feet. When the pain-in-the-ass A&R rep didn’t immediately dismiss the intruder, I stood up straight, catching prairie girl’s reaction to my full height. Give me a break.

but these three were falling apart— on the brink of collapse, these three life-long best friends were hanging on by the skin of their teeth with Braxton’s arrival either making or breaking them. they wanted to make each other bleed. they trash rooms as they fought. flashing their teeth and throwing barbs at one another that cut deep. it made for an even more enthralling dynamic. the moment he texted Braxton asking what colour her panties were, i knew he was gonna guarantee me some good laughs. he was just such a horny, thirsty bitch. and you know what? i respected the hustle. Yes,” Oni confirmed as she strutted with too much confidence for my liking toward the door where her intern and the imposter stood. “This is the promising up-and-comer I was telling you about. I think Braxton is just what Bound needs to take it to the next level.”i loved them as a four... well actually. i preferred the trio of Brax, Jericho and Lo. they were truly unmatched. bcos that sex scene at Houston’s grandmothers house🤌🏻 *chef’s kiss* Together they formed a pyramid." Told in multiple POV, Lilac is a true contemporary romance with the intricacies of a complex quartet. The book was long and yet, I feel that the story called for depth and the devil is in the details with this read. The story is sweet and yet the four together have a passion that does not stop! "Braxton looked like an angel, but she played like a demon." Overall, I can't say I am a huge fan of RH books but I can say that B.B. Reid certainly kept me entertained the entire read. This was my first read by this author (I know right?!?!?) and I look forward to exploring more of her work!

Braxton, Houston, Rich, and Loren all had their own point-of-view which I was so grateful for because it helped grow their individuality as characters. It felt as though they were all equals throughout the entirety of the book. The chemistry they had with one another was incomparable. I fell in love with each of them separately but them together was purely magical. Throughout the book, we slowly got a better understanding of who they were as characters and the reasoning behind their actions. We were spectators to their qualities, as well as their flaws, as a band, as friends, and as lovers. My attachment for them simply grew stronger and stronger as all the ups and downs of the novel unfolded. Weeks and many gruelling hours these boys put her through the paces, none too happy that she's joined their band, they were literally A-holes towards her as they made her jump through many hoops preparing her for the tour of a life time. And to make it more interesting we also have Lauren's domineering father and Houston's tragic past. It felt a bit like the writer was doing a brainstorming session and all the ideas end up going into the story.

Jaded, gorgeous, and ridiculously talented—they’re determined to turn my dream into a nightmare. It’s no secret I wasn’t their first choice. I wasn’t even their last. The label wants a new image, Bound wants me gone, but I’ve got my own agenda. My FAVOURITE thing about this story is the depiction of how three men who have never shared a woman before can organically grow into a polyamorous relationship. At the start of the book, Houston, Jericho, and Loren are on the verge of breaking up: their relationships have splintered, they hate each other, and Bound is the only thing keeping together. But slowly they patch up their connection thanks to Braxton. The bulk of the word count is devoted to them transitioning from one-on-one relationships to entering a proper polyamorous relationship, and I like that this is done slowly and realistically.

Unlike many authors who get their inspiration from happenings in their surroundings or circumstances, this is never the case for B.B. Reid. For instance, the idea for “Fear Me” her debut novel just popped into her head and she knew that she had to write a novel about a handsome man totally in love with a woman. She also just knew that her character had to be strong and independent while the hero would be bad as this would make for a nice rivalry. However, she tends to change her mind and when the novel was published it no longer had the rivalry aspect as Willow turned out stronger than Kieran. Instead of introducing fierce and strong heroines, Reid writes contrary to convention as she lets her heroines such as Lake transform from obedient mice into lions that can fight for what they want and get it. Most of her novels are also about an antihero since she had asserted that she was always fascinated by the anti-hero after reading different kinds of romances for more than ten years. Unlike your perfect hero, she writes flawed heroes as these tend to be the most adventurous and interesting. They also provide a love and hate conundrum which provides for some nail-biting tension. the moment she declared she wasn’t a punching bag for the three of them i was a goner for Braxton Fawn. a good heroine who knows her own worth and respects herself is key for me to love a book... i know, the bar is in hell. but heroines like Braxton are true unicorns.Dark, dangerous and sexy, Caged Wolf is a captivating paranormal reverse harem romance that you do not want to miss. Filled with murderous inmates, waves of sexual tension and magical intrigue, the Darkmore Penitentiary series will take you on a wild ride. When Charlotte Carson’s father receives a position as headmaster of Adamson All-Boys Academy, she finds herself uprooting her life and moving to Connecticut. The board plans to modernize the academy by allowing girls in, and they want to use Charlotte as the guinea pig. However, who wants to be the only girl at an all-boys school? As usual, I will try to keep spoilers to a minimum however, as with any review I write, there may still be a few small spoilers.

And after three years, she still remains frozen in the past. That is until Landon Parker enters the picture. The heroine isn't a virgin - in fact, she's experienced and enjoys sex! This is tied into a weird little side plot where she thinks she's a nymphomaniac, but whatever. I really wasn't sure how I would react to the idea of RH since I'm very territorial and don't like the idea of sharing so it was very surprising to me that I wasn't as bothered by it as I thought I would be. Is it gonna be my new thing? Definitely not. Will I try another one in the future? Possibly. although her sex addiction was nowhere near explored to the extent i expected. it was even suggested by the heroes that she wasn’t a sex addict... which was a weird choice. but i truly don’t know since her addiction nor her trauma were explored enough. just as we’d get down to the nitty gritty parts, the plot moved on and we didn’t delve deep into the god-awful shit Brax had to experience as a teen. In conclusion, because this review has also become too long, me and B.B. Reid will probably not meet again.

I loved her more than anything else in this book. She was always different, and had to become a fighter from a very young age, just because she was probably in the wrong family, and with so many peculiarities, that a closed minded person, could not accept or fully understand her.
