The writing is excellent. Doesn't let you drop the book, and makes you sympathize with all the characters. Usually when I read, I tend to prefer one character than the other, but honestly, this book had moments that I didn't know who was the right person for Celine. That Commission paper is an analysis of the challenge of globalisation and how we meet it, how we meet it both as member states and how we meet it as the European Union.

Fast forward to fifteen or so years later, and Eleanor is feebly trying to get over an awful break-up with her long-standing partner Oliver. No amounts of tea and sympathy from her mother, sister Freya, or even her best friend Sal are helping her get over him. Celine is a 30-something women, recently divorced, and mother of a teenager, who can't control the desires of her heart. Despite this rather major disconnect between me and the main romance, however, I still really enjoyed this novel for the writing, characters and ‘adult coming of age’ storyline and would definitely read more from Emily Houghton in future. Everybody leaves from the Gyeongseong station, and when we meet at the final meet up point, our mission will then be complete.
