Description

Friendly Readigrass is a completly natural feed for horses. It is made from natural grass pastures and is grown in the heart of Yorkshire. Readigrass is a highly palatable feed, rich in digestible fibre, provides a natural source of vitmains, and aids in gut health function. It can be fed as forage replacer for horses with limited access to quality grazing. Also, it can be fed in smaller quantities as an alternative to chaff to prevent bolting of feed. We've bought Friendly Readigrass for years now for our rabbits. They've always been fussy, and we've used a lot of expensive hay as bedding when they've turned their noses up, but this Readigrass is always eaten with gusto. Highly recommended Friendly Green Oat Readigrass i s made exclusively from Friendship Estates fields in the heart of Yorkshire and harvested at an early stage whilst still fresh and green before the grain develops. Rosewood Naturals Nibble & Dig Meadow Although ReadiGrass is marketed primarily as a horse feed, it also makes a great complementary feed for small animals – the perfect alternative to conventional hay – high quality grass with only the water removed. Alfalfa ReadiGrass is a delicious alternative to dried grass or hay and can add variety to your pet’s diet. It can be fed as a treat to mature: rabbits, guinea pigs, chinchillas and degus. It can also be fed on its own or mixed with good quality hay to pregnant, nursing and young animals. Good quality forage, dried grass, timothy, green oat or hay should form the major part of the diet of these animals.

I use both the readigrass and the Timothy hay - they are both excellent - my guinea pigs love it, also I noticed when I bought other hay it made them sneeze, Friendship’s readigrass and Timothy hay does not do this. Also I find it very clean and dust free and makes my life easier too when cleaning them out. So I highly recommend it ... also one of my guinea pigs is now 7 years old which is very old for a guinea pig and she has the shiniest coat and runs around so it must be good! Friendly Timothy ReadiGrass is made from timothy grass, grown in our own fields in the heart of Yorkshire. Our drying process removes only the water – retaining the natural flavour and high nutrient value of fresh timothy grass. Alfalfa ReadiGrass is made exclusively from our own fields in the heart of Yorkshire. It's fibrous stalks and delicious leaves provide appetising variety for many small animals. Rich in protein and calcium, it is ideal for pregnant, nursing and young small animals, whilst also providing a tasty treat for mature animals. Benefits of Friendly Alfalfa ReadiGrass The drying process retains vitamins and minerals needed to maintain health and keep your pet’s coat shinyFollow the instructions and within weeks your bunnies will have a tray bursting with grass that they can eat, once finished simply remove it and let the grass regrow, then return the new grass to your bunnies! Keep a few trays so that you can cycle them in sequence allowing regular access to grass. Dust Extracted – the drying process which prevents the growth of fungal spores and contaminants and the rigorous dust extraction process both help to maintain a healthy respiratory system. A delicious high fibre source, ideal for many small animals including: rabbits, guinea pigs, chinchillas and degus. Providing plenty of natural high fibre forage is important in maintaining a healthy digestive system and good wear for your pet’s teeth. ReadiGrass is a premium quality forage which is ideal for horses and ponies without access to grazing. The original dried grass, it is grown, harvested and dried with great care on our farm in Yorkshire - absolutely nothing is added. Water is removed gently from the grass in our low temperature drying process, retaining the natural flavours, wonderful smell, colour and most importantly the high nutrient value of fresh grass.

Remember you can always ask your vet for advice if you are unsure and baby rabbits dietary needs and suitability will be different to adult rabbits. Are grass clippings from the lawn mower safe? You could also try growing your own pots of herbs or even some wildflower seed mixes which contain rabbit safe plants.

Please also see Friendly ReadiGrass for small animals. Readigrass is available nationwide from all good feedstores. Friendly Green Oat ReadiGrass is a delicious alternative to dried grass or hay and can add variety to your pet’s diet. It is suitable for: rabbits, guinea pigs, chinchillas and degus. Good quality forage, dried grass, timothy, green oat or hay should form the major part of the diet of these animals. With vibrant natural colour and a fresh grass aroma ReadiGrass creates a highly palatable feed for even the fussiest of horses. My Degus (6 of them) LOVE this so much and the Green Oats version! It’s the first thing they eat when I set their food out every morning! They need hay in their diet but they don’t want to eat it so as soon as I saw this they go absolutely crazy for it! Thankfully this exists and helps with their nutrition!

Timothy grass offers a slightly, different taste to other grasses. It is great for stimulating appetite and is tempting even to the fussiest of feeders. Thank goodness for readigrass!!! My bunny won’t eat hay or grass, and I had bought 8 different brands of different types of hay in an attempt to get her to eat hay to no avail. By chance I read about readigrass and how even the fussiest rabbit would eat it and decided to try the green oat readigrass and I am so happy my bunny happily ate it. Thank you!!! Friendly ReadiGrass is an aromatic forage made with British grass grown exclusively from fields in the heart of Yorkshire that is naturally dried.

ReadiGrass - The Natural Part of Your Horse's Diet

So I'm guessing that pet rabbits probably need lower protein levels than wild ones. But it probably also depends on how much exercise they get, whether they have twigs to gnaw, how many pellets you give, what food they're used to and the breed of rabbit (apparently smaller breeds may have higher energy requirements). ReadiGrass is made exclusively from our own fields in the heart of Yorkshire and offers a delicious fibre source to keep your small animal healthy. Our drying process removes only the water – keeping the natural flavour, wonderful smell, colour and high nutrient value of fresh grass. Good to know Market leading ReadiGrass is the original dried grass made exclusively from British pastures. A unique production process ensures that the grass retains a high feed value and is significantly more nutritious than hay. Even though grass is a natural food source a rabbit's digestive system is incredibly sensitive and new foods should always be slowly introduced over a matter of days. Friendly Green Oat ReadiGrass is made from oat forage, grown in our own fields in the heart of Yorkshire. The oat leaves, stems and fibrous husks are harvested at an early stage whilst they are still fresh and green and before any oat grain is formed. Our drying process removes only the water – retaining the natural flavour and high nutrient value of the oat forage. Benefits of Friendly Green Oat ReadiGrass

The horse one has 15% protein content, whereas the Friendly readygrass (used to be Pure Dried Grass) only has 12%. But then on the Hay experts they list the 15% figure for Pure Dried Grass. So I suspect it's just variation between the samples tested and they're actually from the same source. Or maybe they've changed the product. Our piggies love this, and go nuts when they smell a new bag being opened. They leave none. In fact, it smells so good, I feel like eating it myself. I'm not sure if the horse product and the rabbit product are the same thing, but they're pretty similar. Our guinea pig absolutely loves this. Will eat at least a bowl a day if allowed. It smells amazing and certainly brightens up her day! She turns it into great compost pellets 🤣🤣🤣This gives a feed that is more nutritious than hay yet still contains the digestible fibre essential for every horse’s health. For horses with limited access to fresh pasture it’s as close to fresh grass as you can get without being in a field! After visiting a friend that uses Readigrass she gave me a small bag to try as my old boy suffers i was concerned about him having it but my vet advised me because i have no grass in the field where he is along with my mare it would be fine to feed it he is a different pony 30 years old in may his coat is more shiney and he looks great now so big thanks for a great product Ann Our first bunnies Daisy & Duke loved to munch on grass but Duke had a very sensitive tummy and every spring the fresh rich grass would upset him a bit so we had to limit grass time around then for him. As Readigrass is cut and dried all year round, the cut can vary from a very rich, totally leafy dark green grass to a mixed green/light green mostly stalky cut. We are happy to advise which cut is currently available if you have any queries. It is suitable for: rabbits, guinea pigs, chinchillas and degus. Good quality forage, dried grass, timothy, green oat or hay should form the major part of the diet of these animals.
