Description

Artificial grass is generally very easy to keep clean, with rainfall doing a lot of the work for us. However, during a dry period, hosing down artificial turf lawn is a good option and can help remove stubborn dirt, dust and debris. Its 5Ah lithium ion battery works for a whole miscellany of attachments. And the battery lasts, but the replacement battery is pricey.

Since the garden works at Bracton I have used Planet turf for various other projects as well, for example, re-laying 2x basketball courts at Memorial Hospital and maintaining grounds at Erith Hospital, I have not had a problem to date with any aspect of their service. But if your grass handles light use, you can get away with much less cleaning. Rinsing the fake lawn 1-2 times each month should suffice. If the summer ushers in lots of dust, you may have to bump up lawncare frequency a bit, though. It has curved bristles that help comb through the lawn’s strands as well as get into corners and around obstacles like flowerpots. Even where leaf blowers and lawn vacuums fail, this Astro Turf Brush shines through. Firstly, as your collection bag becomes full, debris can start to come out as there’s a slight gap between the unit and the bag. My advice is to simply empty it once you notice that happening.Capable of both lifting and vacuuming debris from your lawn, this artificial grass sweeper gets down to the ‘roots’ of fake grass, shifting debris thanks to its strong brush rollers. It also successfully fluffs up artificial grass meaning that old turf can be made to look newer and more realistic, while freshly laid turf will be lifted from its compacted state. Artificial grass has many advantages. This will allow you the feel of natural grass but also save you the time of watering, mowing, fertilizing, cleaning, and general maintenance. While this is undoubtedly a selling point, it is essential to remember that fake grass still requires some upkeep, much like the rest of the hardscapes and softscapes in your yard. But how often should you brush artificial turf? Cleaning experts recommend giving synthetic turf a good deep clean at least once every year. Twice a year if the turf gets more frequent use.

Does your turf lawn contain dirt and debris? Does it look matted and unsightly? Try the BBA2100 attachment + EGO PH1400 power head. Also, if you have a dog or a cat, you will find that their hair also gets trapped in artificial grass. This can be harder to remove with a leaf blower or garden vacuum, and is often most effectively treated with a rake or broom designed specifically for artificial grass. Regularly Brush the Fibres The patented Artificial Grass Tool is designed to be gentle on your lawn but tough on dirt. Innovative moulded combs lift away dust and debris from the surface, while nylon brushes dislodge trapped dirt. For stubborn dirt patches, use the brass brush tool. Also comes with a standard wet & dry floor tool and dusting brush for completing a range of indoor tasks.

Another thing to be aware of is whether the brush lifts the pile of the artificial grass (which can dramatically improve the lawn’s appearance), whilst also removing debris. Look for options that specifically mention lifting the pile ; this style of brush can even be used to create stripes! The water table under your yard will love you more for not polluting it with chemicals and factory-manufactured grass fertilizers.

To be clear, seeing, touching and watching a real demo aren’t in any way real testing. But at least you get to assess aspects such as sturdiness, design, and workmanship. We compared price, brand, features, specs, ergonomics, weight, and suction of 10 options. In the end, we narrowed down our search to just 5.

Overall I think it looks the part, and because of its compact size, it’s easy to store too. Mine fits nicely in my Keter Storage Box. Performance – 5/5

As a last resort, it is possible to use some weed killers and moss killers on artificial grass – but make sure they’re suitable first. Electric and Manual Lawn BrushesYou no longer have to deal with grass pollen, which makes this landscape cover the allergy sufferer’s go-to choice. We live in a dry area. And we decided that hiding the unappealing patches of scrawny natural summer grass wasn’t a bad idea. If you have confirmed that your lawn does not have any infill then a vacuum can be used, although this is only recommended for shorter periods as the vacuum can still flatten and damage the grass fibres over time. The tool gets small and medium-sized turf lawns looking nice and fresh in no time. It’s definitely faster and less laborious than hand-powered brooming.
