For me, the charm of the book lies in the warm comradeship of the six in their quest to defeat Dracula, without abandoning all pity for this lonely enemy. It features: two\-colour illustrations; foil\-stamped cloth case; four\-colour tip\-on for front cover; decorative full\-bleed endpapers; and fore\-edge staining. Mary Shelley's darkly disturbing tale is illustrated by Angela Barrett and newly introduced by Richard Holmes.

All three page edges are gilded and there is a black ribbon marker for this is, above all, a book to read, the ultimate gothic horror story in the ultimate collector’s edition. Described as having the paw of Hercules and the smile of Machiavelli, above all he knew what it meant to be a loyal friend. Barrett has taught illustration at Cambridge College of Technology and drawing at Chelsea College of Arts. Bram Stoker: Author of Dracula is an affectionate and revealing biography of the man who created the vampire novel that would define the genre and lead to a new age in Gothic horror literature.
