The early scene with the skanky witches disrobing was filmed in near freezing temperatures. It was truncated once Zombie realized the actresses were freezing and Meg Foster could no longer remember the word “Satan.” Richard Lynch died during filming, so additional scenes were filmed during post-production with a new actor.

Zombie has been asked why he used CGI to create the rats in the hallway. This confuses him as the rats are 100% real.

On your turn you can add to your herd in the same manner as you started it—adding a pair by birthing or an assisted birth. You can also add to your herd by dueling with another player for some of their goats.

If you can’t add to your herd in either by either of these means, you discard a card and draw another. If the top card of the discard pile matches a card in a player's hand, the player can choose to use it to create a pair on their goatherd. If the discard pile runs out, do not automatically replenish it. Wait till more player discards occur. You choose an opponent and make them miss their next turn. If a player is skipped, someone else may play another Loaf of Goat on the same individual to miss another turn accumulating skipped turns. COOPERATIVE ADVENTURE GAME: This epic card game puts players in control of the most powerful characters and artifacts of Middle-earth. Select heroes, gather allies, acquire artifacts and coordinate your efforts to face Middle-earth’s most dangerous fiends. Work together to overcome the obstacles and claim victory! If the defender wins, he or she collects the cards used in the duel and add them to the top (defended) pile.If players cannot complete any of the above-mentioned actions, then they may discard a card and draw a new card. At then end of the turn, players will refresh their hand from the Draw Pile, ensuring that they have the same number of cards that they initially started with. Gameplay continues until a player reaches one thousand points or until the group decides it is over. At this point, the player with the most points wins the game! END OF GAME Anyhow, everyone is entitled to their own opinion and their own review but I don’t think accusations of stealing are the way to deal with that opinion. But the game and decide for yourself. And if you’ve never played Cover Your Assets, get that one too and decide for yourself. This is the longest since I’ve ever finished a movie and then a director’s commentary, so bear with me with what I can still remember about this movie.”

Clarity: (NO GO) Some of the cards are not clear in effect. For example, if someone uses an action (not the dread raining fire-goats card), but say the Russian Goatlette, if someone plays Escape Goat, does that just apply to him/her, or does it stop the action? If part of an action is stopped, do other aspects continue, for example, the +2 play? Etc. Etc. Etc. I only took off one star for this (when normally it would be at least two stars off) because this is clearly supposed to be a silly game. You should go into knowing that you will have to develop some table rules as you play. Better, play a couple of hands with another, like-minded gamer and develop the table rules in advance so that you can share with your other players as you explain the game. Only two to three days of the movie were filmed in Salem with the majority of the rest being shot in Los Angeles.

Game Play

The scene where they first try to play the record took a while to film as they struggled with how to create the effect of the needle jumping across the LP. As the effects guys worked on a line of filament another crew member suggested simply removing the needle from the arm. You may only play the card at the beginning of the duel or before the action card takes effect, in other words you may not "escape" in the middle of a turn. The kids enjoyed Goat Lords. They liked it better than the other one they have and play because of the theme of goats and the artwork that goes along with it. The parents like the game because it is one the kids can play on their own. During their turn, players may choose to do one of five things. They may choose to Birth their goats by placing two of the same card in front of them. The first pair may never be stolen from you. They may complete an Assisted Birth. If the top card on the discard pile matches a card that a player needs, the player may use it to form a pair. Zombie wanted an original representation of Satan to avoid the usual big guy with horns, and the result was something that resembles “a cross between a deformed baby and an over-cooked turkey.”

Rob Zombie’s latest film is a bit of a surprise. It’s horror, but it’s a completely different beast from his previous movies. There’s a real (and mostly intentional) sense of humor about it, too. And perhaps most surprising? It’s actually a pretty fun watch at times. (My review.)

Setup
