Little Miracles has given my son the opportunity to join in with events that make him happy, meet his needs and generally given us a chance to experience things that regular families take for granted - it has also made it affordable. We areacharity that supports families that have children with additional needs, disabilities and life-limiting conditions. In the UK there are over one milliondisabled children under the age of 16. Thisis approximately one child in every twenty. Yet the majority of families we work with report feeling like they are alone on their journey. Little Miracles exists to reduce this isolation and ensure that carers get the carethey need to fully support their families. Many families see Little Miracles as a lifeline.

Little Miracles exists to help everybody experience the joy that comes with a family. A place of friendship, understanding and safety where happy memories are made. My story is far from unique.7% of children in the UK are born with a disability. There are over1 millionfamilies like mine,each with their own struggles,ambitions and stories to tell. Yet the families we meet often tell us that they feel alone and isolation is the hardest battle they face. Little Miracles exists to ensure families that have children withadditional needs, disabilities and life-limiting conditions canaccess the care and support they need and connect with eachother in confidence and without judgement. Oliver was born severely disabled. During my pregnancythe doctors told methat he was in a state “incompatible with life”. They said Oliver’s life, if he were tomake it that far, would not be a life worth living. At 35 weeks pregnant I felt pressured into terminating his life. We were made to think it would be the kindest thing for Oliver. As a family we decided thatfor however long Oliver was to live that he would know he was loved.Lap pad– square or rectangular weighted pads that are used on children’s laps whilst they are sat at the table/ desk or in the car to aid concentration and reduce fidgeting. We are very proud of what we do but know there are thousands of families who we cannot yet reach. We aim to have worked with 50,000 peopleby 2030 and your donations will make this dream a reality. All proceeds from this year's ball will go to help families of children with life-limiting conditions. Little Miracles exists so that no family has to go through what can be a very scaryand financially exhausting journey alone.

Ensure that the blanket is the correct weight for the user – please see the weight guide above. You should not exceed the blanket weight recommended below unless instructed by a qualified health professional such as your Occupational Therapist. Ensure that the blanket does not cover the users face and never use the blanket as a restraint. The user should be supervised and be able to self-remove the blanket.
