I would highly recommend this for fans of thrillers, it was a very fast paced book and gripped me from the get go, full of twists.

LIES SHE TOLD receives a 5 star rating on the old Twister Richter Scale. A book within a book that is completely believable, twisty and mind-bending. Having always worked around people, Paula Johnston has a fierce and keen ability to not only read those stood before her, but cut to the core of their true intentions. Spoiler alert - they are not always as they appear. Knox, David (20 May 2018). "Cameras roll on 'The Secrets She Keeps' for Ten". TV Tonight . Retrieved 20 May 2018.

Existing within the light of truth while simultaneously traveling the roads of deception inked in covert shadows. This thing between them is undefinable, illogical, and mismatched. She likes to rationalize that this is what life and love are all about — irrationality, and the evil swings of up’s and down’s are what make the unpredictable ride of life more exhilarating. Common sense, she says, is an illusion. Are you a fan of the unreliable narrator? Well in this book you get not only one but two very unreliable narrators! This is a book where you really need to Pay attention! Liza is an author of romance/suspense books.... Beth is the MC in the book that she is writing.... The brilliant (yet confusing) part of this is that you get both Liza’s real life story and Beth’s fictional story alternating throughout this book.... Liza and Beth have quite a few things in common including cheating spouses.... as the book goes on the lines between fact and fiction, between Liza and Beth, get blurrier and blurrier..... As the saying goes, don’t just take my word for it. I’m sure many more will rate this book higher, like this more, have many more positive things to say about this.

I was really impressed with this book. The author kindly sent me a copy herself and I'm so glad she did as I would definitely read more of her work in the future. Karly has been waiting years to finally have the man of her dreams to herself, and when his wife is away on a girls' holiday, Karly takes her opportunity to get the wife out of the picture. But little does Karly know, things may not all be as they seem and someone is bound to pay a price. Very well-written psychological thriller. Characters are finely drawn. None of them are perfect .. they are all damaged in one way or another. Lots of twists and turns and surprises until the explosive ending. Liza is a romantic suspense writer. Due to fertility issues and the fact that her husband's partner is missing, she has hit a bit of a slump in her success as a writer. It's difficult to find an original storyline in thrillers these days, and this one is definitely unique. Using her writing as an escape from all of life's stresses at the moment Liza throws herself into her book and her new character, Beth. Beth is a new mom who has been home alone caring for her newborn while her husband claims to be working all kinds of hours at his job. Out on a walk one day Beth decides to drop in on her husband at work and instead sees him at a nearby restaurant with another woman.Oh that sounds nice I'm waiting for my sister, my car's in the shop right now so I'm kinda forcing her to drive me around everywhere" First off I'm Billie, I'm 23 and I have 2 siblings, my twin sister Ellie and my older brother Finneas. I love music obviously and got famous off of it...for a while. I quit when it was 16 because of the pressure my team put on me and my siblings, we made music together by the way. The only thing I could do was cry, I couldn't talk, I couldn't move. I couldn't do anything. I didn't want to die, I was just thinking of my future but somehow I'm here,

While engaging in the moment, this movie's sum doesn't equal its parts. There's plenty that's working -- the acting, the eerie, cold mood evoked by the direction, the pacing -- but the deeper the story gets into the morass of two divorced parents doing everything possible to protect their daughter, the more The Lie's twists provoke eyerolls more than surprise. These ludicrous twists and turns to the story eventually destroy any sense of suspension of disbelief that the audience may have had, to the point where one feels like they were on the receiving end of a lie almost as much as anyone in the movie. She grabbed my arm and took the knife that was in her hand to cut a line down the middle of my wrist. Cate Holahan did a great job writing this one - two great stories combined into one! A fantastic read that was suspenseful and full of twists. Looking forward to reading more of her books very soon. Recommended! This is one book that you must pay close attention to, to follow both the storyline and clues, as there exists a parallel story between Liza, the protagonist, a novelist and her fictional character, Beth in her novel.Knox, David (4 April 2020). "Binge Psychological Thriller The Secrets She Keeps Now On 10 Play". 10Play. Network 10 . Retrieved 8 April 2020. This book was just wow, right from the get go, I did struggle to read it in parts as we were doing this as a readalong arranged by the fantastic @instabooktours and we even had @paulajohnstonauthor with us for a discussion after each part. I know for sure we all struggled to keep to the parts for the discussion because we were so hooked.

I don't give a shit, you disobeyed me," I pulled off my belt and tied her hands together with it tight. The Lies She Told is a highly Compelling story about relationships, infatuation, a web of deceit and lies, jealousy and revenge. I read the blurb and knew straight away that this would be right up my street! It was fast paced, full of suspense with lots of twists and turns; everything a psychological thriller should be. You're not going to steal from me again are you?" I whispered to her continuing to pound into her from behind. Hard and rough, I was showing her no mercy whatsoever if you couldn't already tell. One of the things Cate Holahan did very well was to almost mirror the two storylines, blurring the lines so it was hard to differentiate where the two differed, as the fictional story she was writing about Beth, began to look more like her life. It's been a month after Audrey committed suicide, we still don't know why she did it but everyone is extremely heartbroken including my sister, she's getting high every single day, she cries more than usual, she cries to me drunk saying it's her fault for what happened and I have to reassure that what ever happened happened and she can't blame herself because of someone else's decision.
