If your worship team is going to lead others into praise & worship, you need to be able to play each song in each worship set in the moment, without worrying about making mistakes and wondering, “What could go wrong?” Note: not every person who’s a good upfront worship leader is a good worship designer. And some of your best worship planners might not ever be upfront worship leaders.

When diving into the worship team training process, a great starting point is to examine the current goals of your church or worship group. Determine whether a clear and strategic plan for the future of your worship ministry exists. The goal of having a plan is to understand exactly how to equip your worship team with all of the training, equipment, facilities, and personal support they need to practice, play, and sing. Jesus knew that he was going to die, it was not an easy road to take and so Jesus rebuked Peter for challenging the path he was taking. Jesus then went on to say that his followers should be willing to take up their crosses too, to experience humiliation and even death, but God would their reward their perseverance. I’ve always wanted to do something musically growing up but I never had the chance to study it formally. The opportunity never presented itself as resources were meagre, and being the quiet type, I never expressed it strongly enough to my parents until my senior year of high school. That’s when I got my first guitar. A few years later, circumstances took me on a direct collision course with God. And life has never been the same since.
