Description

As we touched on above, this Honeywell tower fan is a great budget option for cooling your home, it also comes with a good range of features considering its low price. The first thing that really impressed and surprised us was the amount of speed options that are available. Rather than your typical 3 wind modes, the Honeywell QuietSet Tower Fan has 5 different wind modes to choose from. The Honeywell tower fan is a great buy thanks to its low price and portability, the tower fan has great airflow too and remote control to make the device easier to use from a distance. The quiet Night mode offers a similar volume to other Honeywell fans on their low settings, with a score of 68db. Unlike other Honeywell fans, night mode doesn’t alternate fan speeds, so light sleepers needn’t worry about changes in volume, either.

The design is also said to shake a lot when it oscillates and the model does not come with any wind modes to adjust breeze or purification functions to filter the air, but this is expected for the lower price. Downfalls of the design have to be its base which is said to be a little wobbly during oscillation. Pros & Cons Of The Honeywell Quietset Whole Room Tower Fan The Vornado V-Flow tower fan features a neat-looking build that twists the fan's grille around the cylindrical base. It's one of the best-looking tower fans I tested -- but it doesn't oscillate like a traditional tower fan, relying instead on that twisty design to move a wider field of air throughout the room.

If you have already started looking into tower fans, then you will be aware that there are many brands on the market at the moment and some of them are better than others. On its highest setting it produces less air than our old fan, but it's more than enough for a large master bedroom. In fact, we've never used anything above the middle speed setting.

I can't rate the remote control because there were no batteries included. I'll buy some eventually, but I don't really need the remote. It would be useful in a bedroom as would the light-dimming feature and the timer. But does it live up to its name? Yes, it actually does. The most impressive thing about it is that the difference between the top and bottom fan speeds isn’t actually that great in terms of volume to the naked ear. Indeed, bringing out the sound level metre reveals a volume of 72.9db at max speed when recorded immediately in front of the fan, dropping to 47db two metres away. That’s both slightly better and worse than the Dyson Pure Cool (70db / 51.9db) in the same metrics, but given the Honeywell is quieter at 2m and costs a fraction of the price, it’s a great result. One of the best ways for you to keep cool this summer is to invest in a high quality tower fan, whether this is for your home or your office. A good tower fan really can make the world of difference. We tested all 5 modes and we were really impressed by how powerful each of them is. We were also really surprised by how quiet this fan was, even at the medium to high wind modes. We wanted to test out the night mode next. Features: 102cm - 5 Speeds - 90 Degrees Oscillation - Remote Control - Automatic Dimmer - 82.5 x 27.4 x 20.2 cm - 4.2kg Pros: For power, the Honeywell QuietSet whole-room model comes with five levels of speed and has an oscillation angle of 75-degrees, the tower fan additionally has a quiet-set power system for nighttime use to reduce noise.

What I appreciate most is that the lowest speed setting produces just the right amount of air - a light breeze - to work comfortably for 8 hrs+ without drying out my eyes. And it's nearly silent. During the day I can't hear it unless I'm right next to it, and at night it's barely audible. Because it's tall, the airflow covers my entire body, which provides a greater level of comfort. To conclude, if you are on a very tight budget and you are looking for a standard tower fan that has a decent air flow and variable speed settings to cool you down, then you should consider this Honeywell model. To see whether or not this Honeywell model is right for you, we have reviewed the tower fan and its features in more detail below, as well as its pros and cons. Tower fans at night walk a thin line between being powerful enough to have an impact on your body temperature, and not sounding like a jet engine taking off. Typically that’s why many models have a ‘night mode’ designed to offer a compromise between noise and performance – one that’ll let you get some sleep. Fan stalwart Honeywell’s latest model puts these credentials front and centre, with the word ‘quiet’ right there on the box for all to see. One brand that consistently produces high quality products is Honeywell. With this in mind, we took it upon ourselves to test and review the Honeywell HYF26E QuietSet Tower Fan to see what it had to offer. Please carry on below for more information.Honeywell is very well known for producing high quality products for home heating and cooling, so we already assumed that we were going to be impressed with this tower fan and we were definitely not wrong. This Honeywell tower fan truly is great value money if you are on a budget, so to help make your final decision about whether or not you should buy it we have summarised its pros and cons below to make things clearer. Pros Of The Honeywell Tower Fan

The only downside with this tower fan that we noticed is that the degree of oscillation is only 90 degrees which is going to be a little restrictive if you have a large room that you want to cool. Update: I decided to return the item as it has only two useful settings out of eight and is too pricey given that. This Honeywell quietset whole room model has standard adjustment settings for its price, it doesn't include an extensive timer range, but this is expected for the money, the remote control is great for operating the device from a distance. Design The problem is that the app is all you get as far as remote controls are concerned. That isn't ideal for a shared space, as the fan can only connect with one device at a time. In other words, if someone else pairs with the fan, your connection gets cut. We use a fan upstairs to supplement our AC. I use to cool the bedroom/office where I've been working since Covid hit and to cool my side of the bed. Our old fan was a pedestal mount with a 20" blade and at its lowest speed produced too much air to work comfortably. Running it all night would dry out my sinuses. And it was noticeably loud, especially at night.
