Description

When assembled, the Nutri Juicer Plus is only 19cm wide and 27cm deep (without the jug attached), which is quite compact for such a powerful juicer. The height is a relatively standard 43cm. At just over 1 metre, the power cable is a good length, enabling easier worktop placement. The Bluicer has a 1,500W motor and size-wise, it’s quite something to behold. It weighs 8.9kg and measures 276 x 530 x 528mm (WDH), meaning you certainly won’t want to move it often. Sage The 3X Bluicer Pro review: Price and competition As UK Juicers explain, “slow juicers and cold press juicers are just new names for masticating juicers”. This is because terms like “cold press” have been seen as a good marketing tool. The key difference is that these juicers break down a fruit or vegetable into smaller particles before the juice is ground out. More juice is extracted, according to Elias Ebert of iSqueeze, but it takes longer – although still less than a minute to make your morning juice. What are centrifugal juicers and how do you use them? The Sage Nutri Juicer Plus is definitely a pricey option. If you’re looking for a simple juicer that gets the job done, the Dualit Juice Extractor is almost as good at a more affordable price.

Ease of storage: Although all juicers tend to be big due to the nature of the work they do, we looked for compact appliances that could be stored in a kitchen cupboard. There’s an added bonus in that it works as a pomegranate juicer as well. According to UK Juicers, a manual press is preferable than an electric one for the seedy red fruit, so if you like pomegranate juice (it’s delicious), this juicer comes highly recommended – although I found it to work better on smaller pomegranates. Pomegranate and orange juice was a revelation. The worst? They were fiddly, felt overengineered and require ingredients to be chopped up into tiny pieces first to squeeze down the food chute. Cleaning Most mid-range juicers are centrifugal, so this cold-press model offers great value for money. The instructors are clear, although it does contain a fair few moving parts – all of which need cleaning. However, it does come with a colourful recipe book that earns extra points from me. The Sage Nutri Juicer Plus has a pleasant, substantial feel to it, without actually being too heavy. Its grey plastic details, pulp bin and plunger complement the round stainless-steel body and feed chute. The transparent lid and bowl let you observe the machine’s centrifugal process. Juicing six medium-sized carrots yielded an impressive 375ml, while the residual pulp was so dehydrated it had a powder-like quality. Four Granny Smith apples produced just under 300ml of juice.

This Nutripress juicer differs from the rest of the juicers in this review, in that it’s analogue and manual. No wires, no plugs, no noise, purely mechanical. Whether that is good or bad will depend on personal taste. For me it’s great, although of course limited. Cleaning brush We found juicers that came with a cleaning brush were much easier to clean, as they can reach into nooks and crannies to remove small bits of pulp. The control panel of the Nutri Juicer Plus includes an on/off switch, a clear LCD speed indicator and a speed control dial. All are straightforward to use because every turn of the dial lights up different suggestions for juicing, from soft fruit at setting ‘1’ to hard veg, apple and pineapple at setting ‘5’. I challenged both discs of the Sage Nutri Juicer Plus with a variety of fruit and veg, and the results were all smooth and delicious. Smoothness is a personal choice, so we've made sure to highlight the best juicers for smooth juice, and the best for those who like bits in their juice. Ease of use

You no longer need to choose between a juicer or a blender. You can now blend, juice or both and enjoy all the nutrients, flavours and textures of your favourite beverages using one space saving appliance. More impressively, the Bluicer is surprisingly quiet. I was expecting an almighty roar as my fruit was blitzed into dust by the high-speed blades, but it was anything but ear piercing considering the force it exerts. In blender mode, the machine was a lot louder though not significantly more than rival machines. Disappointingly, the Nutri Juicer Plus doesn’t come with any recipes. While recipes aren’t essential, considering Sage works closely with celebrity chef Heston Blumenthal, it’s a missed opportunity for presenting some creative concoctions. They are usually small rubber pads or suction cups that help to keep your juicer stable during use.

Bluicers - Fresh Juice Blender Mixer Combo | Sage

The Sage Nutri Juicer Plus comes with two discs: the Nutri disc and the Froojie disc. The Nutri disc is made from stainless steel with titanium-reinforced cutting blades, surrounded by a micro mesh filter; it’s designed for optimal juice and nutrient extraction. Ease of use: Although assembling the machines can be quite time-consuming, we noted how easy the instruction manuals were to use and the simplicity of each machine’s functionality once put together. We also made sure they weren’t too noisy for an everyday kitchen. I also used the Vac Q during testing, which Sage claims make smoothies, sauces and milkshakes smoother, brighter and less frothy. When comparing it with a smoothie made without the Vac Q, there was a noticeable difference in texture and I did prefer the Vac Q one. If there was any colour difference between them, though, I couldn’t really tell.Smoothness: As we were looking to juice a variety of fruit and veg, it was important the juicers could handle everything we threw their way. The juice produced needed to be a strong, deep and rich colour to indicate that a high level of vitamins and minerals had been extracted. We looked for smooth, clear and vibrant juice. Clean-up wasn’t difficult as such, but the Froojie disc and its insert meant there was more washing-up to do. The transparent bowl, juicer lid, pulp bin, juice disc, the jug and its lid are all dishwasher-safe – top shelf only – while the Froojie insert is not. It isn’t clear whether the Froojie disc can be cleaned in the dishwasher; I chose to err on the side of caution. We also rated how easy it was to get food down the chute and whether the juicer dripped after juicing. Blending was a doddle, too. Simply replace the juicing attachment with the blender jug, secure it in place with the metal arm and you’re good to go. The blender made easy work of vegetables like broccoli, carrots and kale and, while I did have to chop them, it was only into thirds or quarters.
