Despite its large size, the Coleman Mosedale 5 is surprisingly easy to pitch due to its simple tunnel construction. With two bedrooms and a spacious living area, the Mosedale can comfortably house a family of up to 5 people.

All rooms are full height standing rooms. The living area is huge, more than 10 square meters, and with all those windows on its three sides. Tensioning can be difficult causing difficulty in zipping up doors but maybe it was our inexperience CON’s : We like others find using the main front zipped door difficult in that it’s hard to do up the zip we have tried everything including undoing guys etc we think ours was an early edition as only a few others have the same problem, we actually now use the side door which suits us better allowing better use of the front covered porch. Regarding the area, the tent is officially for 6 people. For this it offers no less than 202 ft² (18.8 m²). This means 33.4 ft² (3.1 m²) per person, so you have a generous space indeed. TheHampton 6 tent offers lots of headroom due to its height which is 82.7 inches (210 cm), and due to elbow sections on either side of the top which givesextra width.

What to look for when buying a new family tent

There are two doors, one is under the porch so it is fully protected from the rain and this is a dry entry point. The other door is on the side. The inner sleeping area is what they call the darkened bedroom, so glare is reduced and you can sleep longer in the morning. Here you have a typical example of a tunnel tent, with a huge area for 6 people, with 3 separate rooms. These include a large living area plus two sleeping units. Light and airy with lots of windows all with blinds and a great sized front porch for cooking and sitting under even in inclement weather. The bedroom area whilst will sleep 6 we think it is more suited to four., the bedroom inner tent is great with a removable divider. PRO’s: A great value huge tent easy to erect ( just remember the yellow poles go into the bedroom end!)

Bought this tent on a friends recommendation we now have a group of friends (5 families) all with Hampton 6’s and we all love them!
