As a matter of fact, you can only reset the headphones while they’re charging. To do so, follow these steps: Skullcandy estimates that the headphones can last roughly between 50 and 60 hours per charge (depending on your use of ANC), but your typical volume level also affects that figure. The company claims that you can get four hours of listening time after just 10 minutes of charging.

There are many things I like about the Skullcandy Crusher ANC headphones. They’re comfortable, user-friendly and the sensory bass makes them fun to listen to. The sound quality itself is fine for the most part and if you’re into bass-heavy music or mobile gaming these headphones can transform your listening experience. The pair of Skullcandy Crusher ANC 2 headphones sent to me for review was a brand new set, so I allowed them to run-in for around 48 hours before starting to make any notes and observations. The control layout is the same as on the Crusher Evo, but the buttons have changed slightly. The bass slider is now an infinity bass wheel, and there is now a new button that toggles ANC/Stay-Aware modes. The controls are easy to locate and operate, even with my ham-fisted approach. Resetting your Riff Skullcandy headphones also involves pressing two buttons on the right earcup at once. Surprisingly, though, the button combination differs depending on the model. How to reset Skullcandy Riff Wireless headphones When it comes to Skullcandy Hesh headphones, the reset process is nearly identical for all variants. As you might’ve guessed by now, it involves simultaneously pressing two of the buttons located on the right earcup. How to reset Skullcandy Hesh Evo and Hesh ANC headphones

The Crusher is not only equipped with Bluetooth 5.0, noise-cancelling and sensory bass, it is also Skullcandys first headset to be equipped with a personalised sound. Together with Audiodo, a Swedish company that has taken on the topic of “audio personalisation”, the Skullcandy App (free for iOS and Android) now offers an option to compensate for possible hearing deficits by testing. A series of test tones are played first on the left and then on the right, each of which must be confirmed with “Yes” or “No”. After a few minutes, two frequency curves are presented (for the left and right ear respectively), which immediately try to compensate for their own hearing impairments. Of course, it is also possible to create and save several profiles, which are stored in the headphones themselves. To be able to change or deactivate these hearing correction profiles – for example, if the Crusher ANC is connected to a Mac or Tablet – the app with the stored profiles must be used. The app, which was installed on an iPad in parallel for testing purposes, has a yawning void when it comes to hearing profiles. Home Free’s haunting pirate shanty Skull and Bones is underwritten by a thumping war drum and led by vocals so guttural that they often drift into throat singing waters. The Crusher ANC 2 expertly facilitated the vocals in sinking to the depths of Davy Jones, with terrific clarity maintained right down to the most rumbling baritone. This is a good starting point, and the Crusher build on that impressive bass response. Without the vibrations, my skull may not have been rattled, but my timbers were most definitely shivered. You get a USB-C power cable and 3.5mm audio lead in the box. Crusher ANC XT 2 audio and noise cancellation Skullcandy has thrown so much into the Crusher ANC 2 that I was disappointed to not see a kitchen sink mentioned in the specs list. The headline feature here is the Crusher adjustable bass, which lets you cycle through 10 levels of increasing bass response. The more you increase it, the more you will start to physically feel the earcups vibrate against your head. You can turn the feature off entirely if you wish. Long-press the main and “-” buttons for 3 seconds. You will see the LED lights flash and hear a Disconnected voice prompt. Then, the headphones will go into pairing mode.

These cans will give you all the bass you want.

Sure, it’s there, but not to the point where they feel like they’re physically pushing your head down. The padding in the center of the headband is incredibly plush and does a great job of absorbing the weight, while the cushioning around the earcups does an equally impressive job of making them feel snug, without feeling like they’re crushing your ears. Skullcandy Crusher headphones feature three buttons on the right earcup. To reset them, you have to press two of them simultaneously. Simply follow these steps:

Over-ear headphones, by and large, opt for safe and sophisticated design, with the only slight injection of personality coming in the form of subtle accents. Sony headphones, for example, employ little touches of rose gold and the Bose Noise Cancelling Headphones 700 see the earcups moving up and down a singular headband. The general consensus surrounding the Sennheiser Momentum 4 is that they’re a little bland. Crusher ANC 2 is equipped with premium 4-mic active noise cancelling that detects and cancels noise in the full range of sounds you can hear. Our advanced ANC is adjustable, too — so you can set your own custom level using a slider in the Skull-iQ App.

Candy Criticisms

Yes. Any USB output will work, however for the best performance we recommend you use a 5W (5V, 1A) USB output or higher. OTHER My favorite one is "Personal Sound," something I've only experienced on Anker's Soundcore line of products so far. The app uses a listening test to determine the optimal sound profile tailored to your ears. For instance, in my case, the app accurately identified that a slight boost to the higher frequencies would enhance my listening experience. Although I ended up turning it off during my usage as I noticed weird artifacts in some songs, being created as a side-effect of my personalized sound EQ.
