One of her lovers is Lady Sarah (played by Rachel Weisz) and the other is a new servant (and Sarah’s cousin) named Abigail (played by Emma Stone), who shakes up the status quo.The 1985 romance Desert Heartsis beloved for quite a few reasons, but the biggest being that this film shows the more tender, loving parts of an LGBTQ+ romance rather than the struggles surrounding it at the time. The story follows a professor named Vivian Bell (played by Helen Shaver), who is getting a divorce from her husband and falls for a carefree lesbian student named Cay Rivvers (played by Patricia Charbonneau!) Thankfully, as cinematography has evolved, so has mainstream media's portrayal of intimacy across the spectrum of sexuality. Here for it? Yes, I am. My hope is that these graphic, raw sex scenes will help those still exploring their identities to understand their sexualities are completely normal, no matter who they prefer. Set in the 18th century and taking place on an isolated island in Brittany, two women create a world of their own in Portrait of a Lady on Fire. This stunning film directed by revered filmmaker Céline Sciamma, follows Marianne (Noémie Merlant) and Héloïse (Adèle Haenel) as their budding romance grows. Visually gorgeous and full of deepest depths of yearning and love, this is a romantic classic you won’t soon forget. The Wachowski siblings and J. Michael Straczynski’s Sense8 has no shortage of hot queer sex scenes, but it’s the season 1, episode 6 orgy scene that’s really taken real estate in people’s minds. This connection takes on a whole new meaning with season 1, episode 6’s orgy scene — the show’s first, but not its last — that starts with Lito (Miguel Angel Silvestre) hooking up with his boyfriend Hernando (Alfonso Herrera) and Nomi hooking up with her girlfriend Amanita and soon becomes a shared experience between sensates, who feel the full shared force of the sexual pleasure rippling through their shared connection. The series films the scene as what it feels like for all parties involved, so we see Lito and Will, Nomi and Wolfgang, and many more permutations within the group exploring each other’s bodies.

I also love the way Sebastián chose to shoot it. It was storyboarded. All the wetness, the spitting in the mouth, the pubic hair, the vaginas, but also leaving some of it to the audience to imagine. During her Christmas shopping, Carol meets Therese and the attraction between the two is apparent. They lose themselves in one another, creating a world of their own, all the while the real world they’re trying to escape begins to close in on them. The film was nominated for 6 Oscars at the 2016 Academy Awards. This seems like it shouldn't be a victory. And yet, the list of movies who've accomplished the same feat is painfully abbreviated. Don't talk to me about Blue is the Warmest Color, a movie made famous for its extended, impractical sex scenes and allegations of harassment by its director, Abdellatif Kechiche. Kechiche reportedly bullied the two female protagonists as well as his staff, forcing them to work 16-hour workdays under extreme pressure. Critics further accused the director of creating "voyeuristic" sex scenes intended to solicit the male gaze. Post it here, and share it with the large community of video-interested users. When I was younger, most LGBTQ sex scenes I saw didn't show much beyond two people passionately making out, a little hand-over-the-crotch action, and tight shots of faces moaning. (They were all PG-13—maybe the R-rated ones were a little more gratuitous, but I was too nervous to search for them on my family computer.) As a gay teenager still in the closet, these muted portrayals of queer sexuality only furthered the idea that my identity was something I needed to hide. Kena (Samantha Mugatsia) and Ziki (Sheila Munyiva) are the daughters of two rival Nairobi politicians who fall in love in the 2018 movie Rafiki. This film about young love in the face of adversity strikes a chord. But watching these two girls fall in love and fight for their love to the end is poignant and moving.
