The range goes from quarter notes up to double–speed 32nd notes with triplet versions included too, something the original Beatstep couldn’t match. I recently bought an old synth which has CV/Gate inputs (no midi) and I wanted something that converts midi to CV/Gate to be able to sequence it.

So Arturia has taken their original concept, listened to their users, innovated wildly, and created a live sequencing product that integrates beautifully with almost any rig. While the front panel covers all of the essential parameters, including dedicated knobs for tempo and swing, some configuration options? jacks over the course of the review, my main thought is that it would have been mighty helpful to duplicate the labelling on the top of the panel. My main issue is that the drum sequencer has no solo button and requires you to press 3 buttons to mute a single drum channel.I?m an Ableton Live user, so with my configuration, the two rows of knobs served as level and pan controls, while the step sequencing buttons worked as solo and mute buttons. Interest will accrue from the date of purchase but will not show until the expiry of the deferred payment period(after 12 months). Those pads serve well for the input of melodies, bass lines and drums and the encoders are spot on for sequence creation and disassembly. The Arturia Beatstep Pro, arguably the best sequencer available for eurorack systems and in fact synthesizers in general. Arturia are aware of this, but until there’s a solution, direction changes should be practised with care.

I was able to work with that on the Blofeld in multi-mode without too much trouble, by setting every part to the same channel and then constraining each part to a key range of only the note I wanted to play that sound.
