Status updates: the entire status payload of components is published on /status/, controlled with the status_ntf configuration flag.

topic_prefix>/status the entire device status as response to status_update published on <...>/command I decided to replace it. It controls the light fixture in my bathroom, which actually has dimmable lights, so I thought, why not replace it with a smart dimmer? As much as I’ve liked TP-Link products, I’ve loved Shelly products even more (for my garage, my fireplace, my light switches, flood sensor, smart switches, smart bulbs, etc.). Enter the Shelly Dimmer 2! Shelly Dimmer 2 specs and features Even if you don't use the switches to control the dimmer, the slow fade up fade out is really pleasant and night mode on the dimmer is fantastic for those of us you get up in the dark hours for a pee or to get ready for work. Circadian lighting it's called, it's a wonderful thing, I will be putting Shelly Dimmers on all our lights just for that. Depending on how a device’s button type is configured, the integration will create binary sensors corresponding to those inputs. binary sensors are not created when the button type is momentary or momentary_on_release, for these types you need to use events for your automations. Binary input sensors (generation 2) If Device Name or Channel Name is set in the device, the integration will use them to generate the entities’ name.

Smart Home Dimming with The Shelly Dimmer 2

If Home Assistant is running as a virtual machine or service on an operating system other than Home Assistant OS, you should open UDP port 5683 on the device’s firewall and/or ensure that communication from this port is redirected to the Home Assistant service. Remember to replace the state_topic and command_topic shellydimmer2-xxxxxxxxx with whatever is the MQTT prefix for your device. The entity id of your light will be what you put in the name field (spaces replaced by underscores). This code tells Home Assistant how to control and react to the Shelly Dimmer 2. You’ll have to restart Home Assistant for this to take effect. After that, you’ll be able to control the brightness and on/off of the lights via Home Assistant and the Leviton switch. Before you can control the device again, you’ll have to add it to your account again as a new device. DEVICE REBOOT

SNTP synchronizes your device's system time with a server that has already been synchronized by another source. There is already a set server, which is the default one - http://time.google.com, however if there are any problems, you can easily change it and enter a new one in the text box. Changing this setting will reboot the device. ADVANCED DEVELOPER SETTINGS When this setting is active, your device will constantly be searching for a stronger signal. You can select a signal strength value from the drop-down menu, below which your Shelly will periodically scan for a better access point. Access point Ran lines from the 2 Leviton switch outputs to the two Shelly Dimmer 2 switch inputs ( SW1 and SW2). Your timezone and location will be autodetected, but you can manually change them from this setting by choosing a timezone from the drop-down menu and typing in your latitude and longitude. There is also a button Auto detect location, which will make the device automatically detect the location once again if it failed the previous time. DEVICE NAME Shelly Plus I4 AC & DC: http://A.B.C.D/ota?url=http://rojer.me/files/shelly/shelly-homekit-ShellyPlusI4.zip Note: The Shelly must have installed 0.10.0-beta3 or above to be flushed, please update first!Shelly generation 2 devices running firmware 0.12 or later can act as a Bluetooth proxy for advertisements. Active or passive listening can be enabled in the options flow. Options If Channel Name is set in the device, the integration will use it to generate the entities’ name, e.g. Kitchen Light
