I have been painting almost daily since the early 90’s. I used to think this was the dumbest thing, “having a light on my spray gun”. My shop bought me one as a color match light and I was reluctant to put it on my gun. Does a good job for color matching but it took me a while to try it on my satas. I have now been painting with it for 3 months. I use it about 80% of the time, primarily for color coverage. We use Sikkens solvent. Its a time and material saver, it has saved my blend panel more times than I can count on one hand. For clear I put it on low mode, and its best used on bumpers. Cleaning it is really easy and takes no time at all. Moral of the story, for me, there was a learning curve. Can you paint without it of course. But I highly recommend this light to my buddies that paint on the regular. I’ve been wanting to do a review on this product called the GunBudd which was was given to me a few months ago its makers.
