Looking for something different

This would be a great text to model diary writing in school. There are not many truly engaging children's stories written in the format of a diary and could really capture children's attention for a writing unit. This book is perfect for 8+ readers who want to discover the true meaning of gift giving. It is a relatively simple read which could be devoured in a few sittings, perfect for in between the many Christmas events families have planned at a busy time of year. The book has been on my nightstand as I have been reading it this week and my 9 year old daughter is desperate to read it next! I like the different components in this book like the lists and bullet points. I also like that you get to meet more characters throughtout the chapters like Tog's older siblings Bay and Bo. Tog thought him being a reindeer elf was going well until he came into work and heard that an elf (Tog) had give Rudolph magic oats. When Tog told Ola he was fired immediately. I like that Steinar has apology to Tog after saying he had no christmas spirit but in actually fact his spirit is so high it is off the scale, because of Santa loving the lemur Tog has became a toymaking elf.

When Tog got to Santa's christmas lodge he met Holly and her nine older brother and seven older sister ,Mrs christmas called Gerda and Max. Tog was asked to be internally transferred to another department. Another common practice for deadweight worker. Christmas is not about religion or toys. It is a few days of public holidays that free the workers to spend time with friends and family. It is a break.

Enchanting, funny and intriguing in equal measure’ Philip Ardagh on The Night I Met Father Christmas It's business as usual in the run up to Christmas at Santa's Workshop - and toy elves Holly and Tog are busy making gifts for children all around the world. But Father Christmas isn't feeling well, and Holly is worried that things won't be finished on time. Inventing a robot to help out with festive duties seems like a fantastic idea, until Father Christmas is KIDNAPPED and a race against time to save him and the big day begins.

I like that chapter 49 is a high for Tog then chapter 50 says he is in police cell because his bag was full of lemurs that weren't his and could be charged with toy stealing.

The recruitment agent has ghosted Tog. It is probably not deliberate but it feel hurtful nevertheless.
