Steris’s character, at least for me, has surpassed Marasi at this point, and I feel a little sad that she is not getting as much time as others do. The characters are among some of my favorites, and I was shocked by how much of the last part of the story I had forgotten. Harmony offers Wax the chance to continue his life and fulfil his duty; he takes it, taking the Bands from Marasi and healing his wounds. Sin embargo, aquí tiene mucho más sentido y se nos ve que el legado de estos personajes (Vin, Kelsier, Sazed, Brisa, el lord Legislador) está afectando de forma directa al mundo y la vida de Wax, Wayne y Marasi. The group sets course for the temple, hoping they can reach it before Edwarn Ladrian and his expedition team do.

At the beginning of this book he is still raw and hurt from the things he had to endure and it was beautiful to see him slowly heal those wounds. One of the questions I've always had in my mind when Sanderson said that the Mistborn series will span multiple eras was how he will incorporate the magic system into technological advances - Bands of Mourning definitely provided some insight here.I also have three YA series: The Rithmatist (currently at one book), The Reckoners (a trilogy beginning with Steelheart), and Skyward. Third after what Wax went through in Shadows of Self how do you come to terms with your god and the role he chose for you. Major surprise for me in The Bands of Mourning was the addition of another branch to what had already been a detailed magical system (and the people who came with it. Some major twists and revelations occurred, the ending was beautiful, and most of all, if you're reading this for the first time, the epilogue will show you what Sanderson is planning next for Lost Metal.

Normally I’m not one to look forward to rainy, dreary, dark November that befalls some unlucky parts of the northern hemisphere, but such is the magic of Sanderson: I can’t wait to read the conclusion to Wax and Wayne! At New Seran, Wax attends a party held by prominent noblewoman Lady Kelesina Shores, after acquiring a strange coin and partially uncovering a conspiracy Shores is involved in.

We resume the Era 2 journey where we had left things off in Shadows of Self, with almost nothing missing between the two. Wax, Wayne, and Marasi have been pivotal in Alloy of Law and Shadows of Self, and they undoubtedly developed so much in The Bands of Mourning, well, maybe not too much for Wayne; he's still mostly the same. Very weird but in a good way whereas Wayne has grown a little more palatable he still doesn't seem real. Wax and Wayne, assisted by the lovely, brilliant Marasi, must unravel the conspiracy before civil strife stops Scadrial’s progress in its tracks.
