Sonically, I recommend the Letshouer Z12 to those looking for the most exciting presentation. For a slightly more balanced tuning with the typical planar speed and resolution, the 7Hz Timeless are a good option. Both proposals are based on a planar transducer, in the case of s12pro it has a diameter of 14.8mm and in tin p1 max it is 14.2mm. Letshuer s12pro have aluminum and slim housings, while P1MAX are made of resin and have larger domes. Sonically, the P1max are definitely more direct, less technical and smoother. Vocals in the s12pro are more technical, but also less direct. In the S12pro, the technical layer is much more on the podium, but the P1max have a more forward midrange. As I said, the soundstage is large, especially in depth. The imaging, layering and technical side are beyond my expectations, which allows me to increase the feeling of money well invested. The S12pro definitely needs amplification, but most portable dongles will certainly drive them without any problems. iBasso DC04PRO, xDuoo link2bal, dunu dtc500 had no problem.

The LetShuoer S12 Pro is a relative easy to drive Planar Driver IEM thanks to its impedance of 16Ω and a sensitivity of approx. 102dB/mW. Sources such like USB DAC/Amplifiers (Shanling UP04 2022), Tablet’s (iPad Air 2) or ultra portable DAP’s (Hidizs AP80 Pro-X Red Copper Edition) do work just fine. The LetShuoer S12 Pro has a nicely highlighted treble tuning that is shown with a decent sense of presence in the lower treble region, which is able to produce an efficient level of clarity and definition. The transitions from the upper midrange towards the lower treble region are relative smooth and controlled when I do listen to electro guitars or to soprano voices. It is well contrasted and dynamic, impactful and weighty but it can sound a little hollow and a touch dry.A 2-pin connection is highlighted by this protruding section on the faceplate of the S12 Pro and is flush with the overall build.

What I do not want is to be deprived of hearing the various instruments. Excessive mid bass, which drowns out the other parts of the frequency range, but I do want to hear sub-bass, which is occasional in music in any case. I want to hear the midrange, but not to wince when the saxophone blurts out, or a voice shout at me (no matter how good the voice is). I do not want highs which make me want to pull out the earphones from my ears, but I do want to hear the shimmering highs and sparkly notes. While the shells of the S12 Pro look like the spitting image of the original S12, they come in an aerospace blue hue, which is a far cry from their predecessor’s dull gray color.

In terms of gaming, the dynamic range of this IEM is good, creating an illusion of a good soundstage. However, I still don't sense the depth I seek. In conclusion, the immersive experience it provides is average. Disclaimer: the Letshuoer was sent to us free of charge by the brand , in exchange for our honest opinion. About Letshuoer The S12 Pro are a bright pair of IEMs; make no bones about it. They have moderate treble extension, sparkle, and air, but for longer listening sessions, treble-sensitive folk might have an issue. Nonetheless, there is no shoutiness in the mids, and the smoothed-out notes sound pleasing in the long run. I just wish the vocals were better articulated. Treble Overall, LETSHUOER again delivers a set that is competitive and a reliable product in the ever-expanding portable audio market that solidify its reputation and credibility as one of the best and a coveted audio companies out there.
